I was out after $200 but didn't think it would go that high! I guess this one was a bargain then.

Wow this card has gone way up. I remember buying raw ones for $50 and selling psa 9s for about 60-80. I'm glad I still own one. As for getting a cross to BGS 9.5, good luck. This card has a low pop in top grades by both BGS and PSA. It's just a difficult card to find in tip top condition (mostly due to centering and surface).

there's almost no recent past sales either. Rare one for sure.

Dirk Nowitzki 1998 Topps Chrome Refractor RC RARE BGS 9 Mint | eBay

Someone got excited and thought two crazy bidders can set a market price. Would be nice to see subs, though.

that's BGS 9 a better looking condition-wise (at least from the look of the photo) than the PSA 9

We'll have to see what the next one goes for, via auction preferably. Regardless, I'm still holding on to my BGS I posted in this thread.

I agree it's likely not a $490 card now, but definitely at least $150-200.

All the 90s TC RC Ref have gone up over the last year or two. I bought my BGS 9 Iverson for $190-200 like 4-5 years ago. Now it's $500+. Crazy

So there is PSA 9 on ebay right now, what do you think the chances of crossing this to a BGS 9.5? The center looks real good one this

My snipe was $300 and obviously it didn't even trigger when it was over $400 by the end.

do you think Dirk Topps Chrome Refractors are overpriced now? they were pretty cheap a few months ago. On the other hand, I am afraid I will miss the boat like with Tim Duncan when his Topps Chrome Refractor just exploded when it can be had for like $200-300 and then now they are in the $1000.

Some serious funkiness going on with dirk auctions right now. A BGS 9.5 of these could be had for less than $150 a month ago

Yes. At these prices I still think Mcgrady, Pierce and Vince carters rookie refractors are steals.

Tops Chrome > Bowmans Best. Not a good comparison.

Looks like this auction was shilled because the same seller relisted this card and it ended today for $222.50.

Someone was trying to create a false market for these... Smh
