OP here was unfaily maligned, as far as I can tell...and really suddenly, too

More fishy behavior
The guy who left positive feedback has over 2k feedback and he is a member that posted in another thread this guy ripped him off. I like how all the trolls go back to their caves after they bash the OP, realize they wrong, and act like it never happened.

Op here.

I left this thread without reading it being tired of reading all the responses against me. 2 years later, I'm more involved with trading and this forum, and found this thread again.

It was a horrible experience then but I've learned from it thanks to a few constructive posts by members here. I can now look back on this thread and laugh at the silly scammer and all those he persuaded to side with him. In the end, the truth came out.

Wow, I never read this before. Quite interesting and I have learned an important lesson. I will definantly video record opening any high end package.

Yes, PLEASE do this to protect yourself. Make sure you also record the packaging in detail.

In this case, the fact the seller used USPS as a possibility kills the theory.

One of the best reads on found here. Interesting to see how some unbiased waiting two sides story judges so quickly sided to seller after just one post posted not even by seller himself.

Man, what a read. Almost makes me glad I don't have the funds to get into high-end stuff like that!

Just curious -- how did you win? Seems like it would be one person's word against the other's. Crazy story.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE when purchasing a higher end card through the mail

Agree 100000000%

When I purchased my Star 101 XRC, I videotaped the opening of the package just in case and have saved it in my hard drive to this very day

Videotape the closed package up close confirming the sender info, postage date, and the ENTIRE package before opening and film it AS IT IS BEING OPENED all in ONE SIMULTANEOUS VIDEO

This is the most fullproof way to do it

If there was nothing in the package, the item is not the exact item purchased, or if the item is damaged you have videotaped evidence to support your claim later

If you do not do this you are indeed risking losing everything

This is THE only way to do it

pretty sure video taping you opening the package isn't going to do you any good. Video can be edited like crazy these days. I know ebay won't take it into consideration.

You can pursue litigation against the seller without Ebay

The seller eventually agreed to refund. Forgot all the details but according to his feedback post incident, he didn't learn his lesson.

Curious, how did you sell the same Jordan psa rc twice and get positive feedback on both?

I thought I remember reading that if you video it in the presence of the postal worker at delivery then it's good solid proof. Technically it's in the presence of a government worker.

I vaguely remember any of that. Not sure how that all went down. But you did make me relook at my feedback and I sold that for only $885!!!
