Default Are there any eBay consignors on here?

I'm looking to thin out a lot of my stuff that has just... accumulated. I have dealt with Probstein in the past - decent experiences, but some of the people listing my stuff were incredibly sloppy with spelling and labeling cards correctly. It's not a lot of super-high end stuff, probably a lot of $5-10 stuff with a good handful of $50-150 cards mixed in, as well.

I hope this isn't a forbidden question for these boards. I did a little searching, but couldn't find anything.

Or does anyone have a consignor they always turn to for getting rid of things?

For cheap stuff like that just send it to comc. Or do it yourself but a cosigner will probably eat up whatever profit you might make and you end up basically giving it away

I have done it in the past. Charge 10% plus eBay fees and shipping.

What's the point of consignment for cards? Is it because your too busy or just don't feel like listing them? Or is it something else? I've never understood why people sell high end cards through consignment and pay more in fees.

With the big consignment sellers like Probstein and PWCC, the commissions they charge on high-end cards - usually somewhere around $1,000 final value and higher - end up being less than eBay and PayPal fees for normal sellers. I'm not familiar with Probstein's marketing, but PWCC also puts a lot of work into advertising their auctions, which is another benefit that can result in higher closing prices than average.

Yup, this is it. Also some people just don't have time or are lazy.

For my big ticket stuff, I just wait for promos from ebay where you only pay like $20 max in final value fees or get 50% off em.
