So action vs inaction is the main case here.

The guys words ultimately do nothing.

You are only offended if you choose to be offended.

Whereas actively seeking to PUNISH someone due to being offended is definitely something bigger than some words being spat out.

I'm not defending what this guy said, I think it's pretty low he'd go after a child, but I simply can't agree with people who feel the need to bring about Internet "justice" for a few bad words.

What does this even mean? So people can say whatever they want to whomever they want because people choose to be offended or not offended? If it doesn't offend me then what should I care if it offends someone else. It's their choice...

The person who alerted the company was from California. The company he worked for is a Cleveland area based Real Estate company. I don't think he would have lost customers whether he fired the kid or not. The fact that the company keeps re tweeting every news article about the firing makes it seem like they are pleased with grabbing the attention.
