Default OscarOne's Topps Cleveland Indians Team Set Collection

Hello!

I have been working on this set for a couple years, and I am finally able to see enough light to start scanning and showing them off.

This is my site that I have dedicated to it: Wahoo Cardboard

And the Cleveland Baseball teams portion of the site is right here

I will post as I complete...I am pretty excited.

that's really awesome. i love the idea. i've bounced this idea off a few times but never started. i've considered doing Yankees or NY Giants (football) sets starting in 1983 (my birth year)

Love the setup on the website especially, love the pack showing each season

Nice work, your site will become a reference site eventually. It was enjoyable to wander through the 1980 cards.

I would note that from 1974 to about 1992 or so, there was no "Series 2". Just some Traded cards in 1976 and then starting up regularly in about 82 with a late summer / early fall Traded-Updates-Highlights type release.

See, I can do the Indians since I have Roger Maris and some high numbers. The teams did not get good until cards were over produced and cheap again...which is good for me. The Yankees...that would be a accomplishment. The 50's would be privcey, but if you finish, totally worth it.

Incredible site! It looks amazing, congrats man. Thanks for sharing

So I have...

1955
1965
1980
1981
1982
1987
2006
2012
2015

...done.

Working on the 1988 set, which I kind of like. I still dont like the 1987 set. Little kid me did not like me, and I guess the years have not changed that.

Also, the Indians sucked. Really bad. For a long time.

This is fantastic, great work. I have exactly the same thing going with the Yankees. I have the full Topps Yankees team set from 1960 - 2016. Every Topps issued Base card, update/traded, Tiffany (1984-91), Opening Day (1998-), Pro Debut & virtually all of the insert, short and super short printed cards.

Your site has inspired me to try and get something similar going.

Thanks!

You should. Wix is super easy to use. Scanning takes the most time, but once you do it once you can secure the cards and never touch them again.

The hardest part is once I am done filling in all the league leader/multi-rookie cards that I will be missing. That part should be fun, though some of the 60's singles are pricey.

I am really looking forward to finishing so I can start adding all the fun cards--rookies of the guys that got traded to the team (Alomar, Omar, Swisher...those guys), and some of my favorite inserts.

Totally due it, though. And unlike the Tribe, people will actually want to to see the Yankees!

1954

and

1990

All done!

The 1954 Indians were a good team. That pitching was awesome, especially the pen.

Man I love your site, and the '54 Indians were incredible!

Their pitching as you said was fantastic (even though Don Mossi was one of the ugliest humans ever)

Wynn, Lemon, Feller, Newhouser all future HOF from their staff
