Default 1 Box 2004-05 Finest

Was feeling nostalgic and bought this on eBay. I'll let the pics do the talking since I'm still pretty speechless.

Edit: broke 5 more boxes today. Didn't do so hot.

2x 04-05 Bowman - 1 box had 3 autos including the redemption. Might have been nice 13 years ago. Kenyon Martin is gold ref /50.

2x 06-07 Bowman - These refractors might be the best Bowman Chrome refs ever. Too bad the Odom didn't scan as well as it looks in person.

1x 05-06 Finest - This was depressing after yesterday's break. The green Pierce xfractor looks amazing, but nothing lower than green. Bonzi Wells Topps 1/1 plate was odd to see come out of Finest. Not sure if that was standard.

Incredible pulls. Crazy to think that Garnett has been sitting in packs for 12+ years.

Did you get any draft redemptions? Those were one of my favorite parts of that product. Sweet hit on the Garnett!

I was a big believer in Shaun Livingston when he was drafted. That knee injury was gnarly.

For draft redemptions, I pulled:
#5 Raymond Felton refractor (001/359)
#13 Sean May xfractor (258/259)
#25 Johan Petro xfractor (172/259)

Oh man this takes me back!! I remember making some sweet coin off breaking finest this year!! It's in my top 3 for most enjoyable products to break upon release!! This was one of the first sets to really saturate the basketball market with excess colour parallels but at the time the low numbered cards sold really well! The draft pick cards were such a sweet added bonus! Your break was pretty amazing. It would have been pretty sweet without the KG but adding the KG makes it such an amazing break! Those cards are beautiful!!!

04-05 Finest is one of my all-time favorite basketball card design. The golds in that set are beautiful. Congrats on the Garnett 1/1.

Thanks guys, I'm thrilled with the break! Unfortunately, I had more boxes incoming and got skunked on them this morning (2x 04-05 Bowman basketball, 2x 06-07 Bowman basketball, 1x 05-06 finest basketball). Would have been nice to have only bought the one 04/05 finest box, but I'm not complaining!

The high number of parallels really spooked collectors when this product released. I remember there being fans of the product but there were a lot of chicken littles when it came to "ruining the hobby with too many parallels". 2004-05 finest will always be special to me and far and away my favorite product ever created.
