PSA is better than Beckett although I know this forum loves BGS. They do offer internal sleeves upon request. The monthly specials they offer are much cheaper than what Beckett offers. To be a member you pay a free but they offer you free submissions which offset the price you paid for the submission.

They were the first party to grade cards.
Beckett has a stronger slab.
PSA cards hold more value.
I am not a fan of auto grades and PSA does not do them.
Never had a customer service issue with them.

I'm going to assume this is with the Collectors club membership?

I'm thinking of submitting some cards but its such a small submission (like 10-12 crds maybe) it doesn't make sense IMO to get the collectors club... and I don't want to pay the $17 per card rate......

Do any of you guys have any suggestions? are these the only two ways? Pay the $17 per card or join the collectors club to get the cheaper rate.

Reviving an old thread with additional questions.

Once you are a PSA Collector's Club member and have access to the monthly specials, what is the lowest price they will offer for bulk grading prices? And how many months out of the year do they offer these specials? Is it fairly often?

The lowest I have paid in recent years has been 5.50 per card for the 50 day service level. Years ago they had specials for 4-4.50 per card. Those are long gone.

A couple years ago I saw prices as low as $5.50/card and $5.75/card. Recently, the lowest I have seen is $6.00/card. The price is a little higher for pre '56 cards.

There is a special every month but sometimes it differs. Take for instance this month, it's $10/card for all years and $6.25/card for pre '56 cards. Other months you get the lower rate ($6/card) as stated above, which I'd say is 6-8 months out of the year.

I actually called PSA last week asking if I could get there bulk rate for modern cards that has been offered for basically the past 5-6 months in a row.

They said that they usually run their modern 50 day special rates only 4-5 months out of the year (which isn't true), usually during the winter to drum up business. The cheapest I've seen it this past year is about $6 per card for modern as mentioned.

I will be giving them much much more of my busienss, because this new 5 day thing with BGS is driving me crazy. Have a 10 day order that was suposed to have popped on tuesday of this week that hasn't freaking budged. That's 3 orders in a row that will have gone the max for the new 5 day wiggle room.

Yeah, this month's specials didn't work for me. Two months ago I did a 50-card sub at $6.50/each.

I'm angry with PSA. recently I sent them a card to grade and tracking said it was delivered on Thursday. I received an email the next week on Wednesday saying they received my card and the clock started on Wednesday. .

This month's $10 special is on purpose because they need a month to catch up on the good deals from the past few specials.

I've noticed that the specials closing in on the annual Registry competitions (springtime) are generally worse. Usually the summer and fall have cheap rates.
