He weighed in earlier in the thread, and I know he's the man when it comes to these cards, but he's already said that he doesn't have a known example to post in the thread. Just trying to reach out to others that may.

Just thought I'd revive this thread to see if anyone has located an image of a real one?

It's nuts how nobody knows what's real and what's not. There are a handful of different examples. Which one is real?!

I don't have a stored image of a real one but I know what it looks like. I have been thinking that if I shared what it looks like, counterfeits would begin popping up that resemble it.

Unless you pull one yourself from a box, I wouldn't trust anything else to be real.

I did purchase a case and there is suppose to be 1 auto per case. I still have the case. I have picked up a couple more and every card I have is signed on the back. I will have to check what kind of markers were used. Hope the buyer wasn't burned.

I have a legit one! I bought one in November of 1993 from a card shop in Charlottesville VA for $40. I knew the manager and he would hold Green Bay cards for me. I was 13 at the time and truly doubt he or anyone else would have faked this card in Favre's second year. The signature is on the back and the sticker does not touch it. The main difference is that mine has "#4" and many others only have "4". Hope this helps.

Worthpoint goes back to 2006. I only see 1 or 2 that have "#4", most have "4"

Most of those fakes are bad! If you look at all the autos, there really isn't two in the bunch that look a lot a like. I just got back into collecting, and was unaware of this set, let a lone most of them being fakes. I appreciate people posting about this.

is this legit? I'm not convinced it's the authenticated signature, maybe obtained after and then the sticker applied? any help is appreciated

You should’ve said you’d pay anything for an Ernie Davis.

I believe somebody earlier in this thread mentioned that none of the front autographed cards were legit as Favre would have only signed the backs.

Favre did not sign the front of 1991 Star Pics cards.
So the easy answer is no, it's not legit.

I was heavily involved in cracking down on the sale of these cards from around 2007 to 2014. At the time there would be 20 or more of these on Ebay on a regular basis and every single one was a counterfeit. Many were graded by PSA. Even now, pretty much every one you see listed on Ebay is a counterfeit.
