asked Sooz about RCs in 2017 S2, TC and HHN (Bellinger and Happ)

"series 2 and TC are long gone. HHN might be close if not done already"

So no go unfortunately

I realize there is decent profit to be made today, but Happ is someone you could probably go a bit longer on. I only have a couple base gems and I think I'm going to hold out a bit. Look at Bellinger and Judge. I sold way too early on those guys and left a crap ton of $ on the table. I think Happ prices will trend the same way. Wait a couple more weeks and you could be looking at 2-3x today's prices. Just my opinion, please don't take this as financial advice I've lost way too many times for anyone to take my word as gospel. It's just a gut feeling mixed with what I think is a pattern for guys in bigger markets.

Hopefully they hold those guys back for next year then and not just throw them in a few end of the season 17 products.

I hope so too...but it would be nice to only have a handful of rookie cards for those guys instead of 30 different ones

Can't hold back them. It's one thing to hold back guys like benintendi Bregman. Swanson like they did this year when they debuted after ASB last year if I recall. Holding Bellinger and happ would be even more ridiculous considering Bellinger atleast will probably get close to 450 atbats this season

You think Heritage High and Update maybe? I would have thought Chrome for Bellinger

I was thinking the same thing but they can do what they want. I'm just a simple pawn.

I think there might be a chance for Bellinger to be a redemption in Chrome but I don't think Happ will get into that product. Unless they have a mystery redemption like Finest has sometimes. But if he does something special, he could get a Topps Now RC auto. And that could happen before Chrome comes out. I am kind of hoping for that with Bellinger.

Topps has proven before (like keeping Schwarber out of 2015 products), that they will save hot rookies for the next season, plus they can make more selling topps now cards of his.

He likely heads back to Iowa after Heyward comes off DL, but impressive stint.

Call me crazy but i'd send Baez down not even Candelario (who is more likely imo than happ). Baez is back to not knowing what a strikezone is and he's carrying that out to the field with him now.
