Would like the same outcome though, but would prefer to get it done early!!

I'm hoping JBJ has another decent day at the plate, his bat is needed and I'm pulling for this kid.

Looks like this will be a dreary day as it's currently misting here in RI (PawSox rained out, but Price still going to pitch a simulated game) and my understanding it's the same in Boston with a 60% chance of precipitation for the entire game.

Tarp is coming off and it looks like we will start at the scheduled time.




Late lunch today with the Mother In Law will make me follow this one (and my Providence Bruins) on the phone, LOL

That's great I've got tickets for the Mariners game on Sat. the 27th/ 4:05 start should be the Fox Network game of the week!!

If JOHN FARRELL is allowed to board that plane to St. Louis... Then Dave Dombrowski has no interest in doing what's best for the RED SOX.

Chris Sale-amazing

Rick Porcello-regressed, but serviceable

David Price-injured

Craig Kimbrel-Regained form

Clay Bucholz-Traded. Nice to have him now.

Steven Wright-injured

Ziegler/Uehara-Gone

Thornburg-got, then injured

Kelly/Barnes-Meh.

Pomeranz-injured

Hembree/Ross Jr.-OK relief pitching


My god the pitching is appalling. It is Sale, Porcello and E-Rod

If we signed (in the offseason) R.A. Dickey, Bartolo Colon (again), and Bronson Arroyo problem solved.

Word is Price came out of his simulated game today with no issues, the next step is to finally get him to throw in a rehab outing this coming week.

Personally I'm not expecting him to be healthy enough to finish this season and fully expect a surgical procedure is in his future, not buying this rest is the solution BS!!

Sox starting pitching is in trouble after Sale, Porcello & Rodriguez what looked like a very good rotation suddenly looks greatly diminished.

I fully agree with those that are saying DO NOT start trading prospects to obtain a starter via trade, it's time to use the arms you currently have in the system, sink or swim!

And yes Farrell's days are numbered.

While it would be nice to get Devers, I believe he stays in Boston. There's a rumor saying a scout was at the White Sox series this past weekend and were watching Todd Frazier. He would be a stopgap until Devers is ready. Maybe a Frazier/Holland trade? It will probably cost them Groome & 1 or 2 lesser prospects but not Devers.

White Sox will not trade Quintana to Red Sox.

If we get him we basically traded the farm for their rotation.

Price will throw in his first rehab assignment tonight for Pawtucket. Was supposed to go yesterday but it was rained out.

Hopefully he can can get it over the plate, we nwed all the help we can get.

He threw a simulated game yesterday. He starts again in Buffalo on Friday.
