Looking to sell one of my 40th film cels, card number FCC-28 'Caught in the Tractor Beam' -- cel shows Luke, Han, and Ben Kenobi in the Falcon after hiding in the floor.

I feel the pain. I've got two awesome cels for sale on the bay. Issue is they're in $20 blasters so that hurts value.

Just curious.. I am looking for cell cards, but I can't understand the pricing. They're labelled 1of1, but aren't really. They're not all that uncommon... maybe someone can explain?

This set has one film cel per card. That film cel is not used in any other card in that set.
BUT there are numerous cels that run in sequence. You could have 20 of the same card and it be a variation off, since film runs at x frame rates per second. So you could have numerous cards that look identical but are not.

Another factor people are forgetting is film cels were already introduced in illustrated.
ANH has ANH films cels from certain scenes, not all.

The 1:1 is a true statement, but so are the numerous sketches by Teranishi.
And like someone else already pointed out, they are not hard to find since they can be had in a lot of the blaster boxes available. Some film cels will be worth more than others because of the actual cel.

I got a cel of the back of a sandcrawler, and dont expect much for it. its a 1:1 but is it worth $20-50? Probably not. It is worth as much as someone is willing to pay.

i feel it is more insane with the cels than it is with the multiple sketch cards.

the sketches are still 1/1 but it's the same drawing done multiple times. they fetch at least 20-30 for the black and white teranishi. but.... they were not guaranteed in blasters. they had an insane rate, and most likely found in hobby boxes.

the cels, are 1:3 in the blasters. so, I have no clue why the asking prices are so high
