Weird. Clicking on 'print shipping label' took me direct to some screen that espoused the virtues of this new UPS program that is actually garbage...

Maybe it is because I don't have a store? I am far from some eBay noob...selling since 2000

Weird, just sold something else in a different category and it printed just fine.

Had me worried there that eBay was pointing yet another middle finger at sellers...

Sorry for false alarm, must have been something that was either category or non-store seller specific?

If you can't get comfortable with an asking price, I would throw it up there with a high BIN/BO and see what kind of offers you get.
Yep, 1980's Olympic hockey team was the "Miracle on Ice". I am still scouring the internet for more pictures of this jacket, but the guy I bought it from (who knows Verchota personally), said that Verchota told them that the team got them for overseas and that it was the only time they/he ever wore it, which you can tell because this thing looks brand spanking new.

Seems like a pretty cool piece. Good luck in your search!

I will post pictures later, but is a Starter Team USA Mens Hockey jacket that belonged to Phil Verchota (Player from the 1980 and 1984 Olympics from Duluth, MN which is where I bought this jacket) from the 1980's Olympics. I searched eBay and haven't seen any others pop up, which isn't surprising considering these were only given to the players on the team. I have only been able to find one picture online with a player wearing this particular jacket and I am still searching for more. I am really unsure on what to list it at considering another will never pop up.
Would love to see photos of it.

Here is a link to the listing. I really don't know what to expect to come from it or what to list it for.

How do you know Phil Verchota wore it? Don't know if you already answered this.

The guy I purchased it from is a friend of Phil Verchota's. He was telling me all about how he got it and how Verchota told him he only wore it at that Olympics. I purchased it in Duluth, MN which is where Verchota is from.

JMO here, but the next time Phil is doing a public signing (he was just in the cities last month at FanHQ signing), I would bring the jacket with, show Phil and ask him authenticate it as it being his previously and when and where he wore it. If he is able to do that, I would then ask him if you were to draft a letter of authenticity, would he sign it. You just stating that you bought it from a friend of Phil's and Phil told him that he wore it, I wouldnt give you your asking price of $500, however if you had a letter signed from Phil stating its authenticity and use, I would be much more inclined to pay a higher price.

100% agree. While I do trust you, I just don't see a collector wanting to drop a large amount of money on an item without any kind of COA. The real value is in the story behind the jacket and it's something you need to prove.

I haven't been picking in about two months. I got a local card store as a consignment client last summer and just been inundated with inventory to list.

Really cool stuff, Jerseys/Apparel, slides (Lots of Cubs and Surfers, but other baseball and football), Associated Press photos, yearbooks/programs/magazines and Ticket stubs.

Got $200 for a set of 1998 Vikings home ticket stubs.

I've actually been searching for a way to contact him. My best bet is sending a letter to his residence in the cities, which is something I am in progress of doing. I will be attaching photos with the letter to him and hopefully I will hear back!

It's sick. I'm a big Nirvana fan so I wanted to keep it since it is an original, but then I saw what they sell for and I'd rather have the money haha

Question....I'm out of town on business usually a week to two weeks out of the month. This is more of a hobby for me than it is a business. Is it worth putting on my vacation settings with no purchases during these times I'm out of town to maintain Top Rated Seller status?

Meaning does TRS help out that much in sales or should I just go for the sales in general, ship late when I have to and not worry about TRS? Does anyone see a significant drop in sales when not qualifying for the TRS?

Not worth it in my opinion. You are going to try and keep TRS but in the end if you travel that much you will probably lose it anyway. During the times you are in town you may sell a bunch of items, but then people start paying you once you leave for another trip. Then the standards start to drop again even though you tried your best to accommodate the buyers. This is how it went for me.

Very cool jacket. Like others have said, I would try to somehow get Phil to authenticate it and maybe sign it on the inside of the jacket somewhere. GLWS!

I leave my store going, and just bulk change all my listings to 4 day shipping, or however long I'm gone, and change back to next day shipping when I return. That way you just lose the TRS $ on the items that sell during your vacation.

Pretty amazing finds. I've never seen auto ball in a GW. If they were in mine though I'm sure they would have slapped a $79 price tag on each.

I found a ball signed by Roberto Alomar a few months ago. As an Orioles fan, it became a keeper

Not at a Goodwill, but at an estate sale found a Harry Carry signed ball, that on the other side is marked "first foul ball" Then the date of the Cubs game. Paid 5 or 6 for it I think, been a few years back.
