Just got back from the game, great win by the Angels. Simba goes yard against the Yanks.

Also glad to see the Angels dominate Judge the whole series. He only went 3-13, 1 HR and 2 RBI - they held him in check. It was great to see EY throw him out at home plate tonight. Place went nuts.

Actually was funny in the 7th inning right after EY made an awesome diving catch of a Judge line drive, some dude wearing a Judge wig got tossed out for talking crap, as he was being walked out, some guy (or could have been a girl, I couldn't tell) stood up behind him and tried to grab the wig off his head and throw it. It was funny as hell.

The MLB office in NY must be on the Judge bandwagon as well, that "double" by Hicks with 2 outs in the 9th was clearly caught. The commentators were wonder WTF was going on too. MLB overturned the call on reply so that Judge could bat as the tying run with 2 outs.

I thought the same thing until I watched it about 10 times. I wonder if they saw what I saw and that was that a fan up in the bleachers actually reached out and touched the ball. You can see that they pulled their hand back like it was in pain.

Clearly it landed directly in his glove after this, but this would be the only explanation that I could come up with.

Freaking Yankees. If there were ever a team that didn't deserve an embarrassment of riches dumped in their laps...why couldn't this happen to a horrible team? What's crazy is that they have Gleyber Torres waiting in the wings. Overall, he's probably the best of the bunch.

Agree on Gleyber's potential. In all fairness, however, the riches weren't "dumped," they were selected via draft or smartly acquired via trades.

By this logic, those individuals, teams, or corporations who have been successful in their fields in life should at some point intentionally stop their winning ways— so others with lesser skills can get a chance? That is not The American Way.

The Yankees haven't won a WS in nearly a decade, and despite their WS appearances in 2003 and 2001, they had another nine years between 2000 and 2009. It's taken a sea change in management's philosophy to wean the organization off the expensive/horrible free agent signings (Ellsbury notwithstanding).

Overall, people should focus more on simply rooting for their teams, instead of bemoaning the Yankees' first youthful and exciting team in quite some time.
