Default 2017 Bowman Blaster Box - Huge Fail

Opened Bowman for the first time this year, and finally decided to buy a blaster box at Walmart. Huge mistake.

Opened the box and saw all the packs had their tops cut off and cards were missing from every pack. Looked like someone had sorted through it, taken all the inserts and just left base.

Obviously, quite peeved at the situation. Hoping to hear back from Topps, but not holding my breath.

This isn't a Topps issue. It's a Wal-Mart issue.

Good to know. I'll have to bring it back

Yeah happened to me at Target w/ an Allen and Ginter box once. They let me exchange it. I was not happy with my 4 Adeiny Hechavarria base cards.

Always check the wrapping too and make sure the 'Topps' logo is printed on it. Not sure if Bowman has anything stamped on them but I know the Topps products do.

Bowman is a Topps product and the wrapper does have the Topps logo on it.

Checking for the Topps wrap is key to the blasters.

For Hangers, look at the bottom to check if the bottom flap has been resealed. Happened to me a few months back with a Heritage hanger and there was glue residue on the bottom.

Lesson learned for sure. Thought there was something kinda off with the wrapping but just wrote it off

I saw some hangers today that had the sides split and cards removed. I believe it was optic, where there's only a few cards. First time I've seen that but I too have bought resealed blasters.

When I first read your title I was wondering how in the heck you could still find a bowman blaster. My area hasn't had any in months. Then I read the rest and now I see why.

i drove up to Jacksonville from Daytona last night and stopped at a walmart in Palm Coast, hoping to see the Topps Chrome display.........nothing, but to my surprise they did have two 2017 Bowman blasters

went to another walmart closer to Jacksonville and didnt have TC either, but they did have a 2016 Bowman blaster

if i have to drive somewhere, i always love finding walmarts/targets, especially in obscure areas, because you will almost always find some older blasters still on shelves
