Literally an identical season stat wise as last year minus 30 RBI's as of now, and OBP is up .035

If he can finish the season .290/30/75 I think that would be a very solid season after the way his season started.

Currently 104 runs scored... more walks... way less Ks

MLB ranks: 8th in OBP, 19th in SLG, 11th in OPS, 5th in BBs, 5th in runs scored. HRs and RBIs down.... but how many guys in the MLB would gladly take that as an "off year"?

Exactly, and based off of those stats I don't think you can even call it a down year. Low RBI's based off of hitting in the two hole for the most part of the season. And will likely (hopefully) get to 30 HR

Cubbies 21 games over .500... 43-22 ... 5 1/2 games out at AS break.... current 6 games up with 6 to go.

That's MVP type stuff.

Too bad it's a down year =-(

Time to wake up Kris.

We use this thread to praise you.... time to use it to light a fire under your butt.

First 2 games against the Nats you had 3 hits... 2 runs scored and the Cubs scored 6 runs.

The next 5 games... 2 lousy hits and 10 Ks. If you take away that crazy Game 5... the team has scored 5 runs in 4 games.

This offense goes when you go. If the Cubs can score 4-5 runs by the 6th inning.... the bullpen has a little room to work with. The starters ERA is 1.99.... put pressure on the other team!!! It starts with you!!
