Default Is this 1/1 Nowitzki Buyback Authentic?

It's kind of odd to me that there isn't any numbered sticker on the back of the signed card and the signature looks strange too!
what do you think?

I'm gonna guess that it's fake because the COA says the card is from SP, SP Championship or SP Authentic. The card that is signed is from an entirely different product line, UD Black Diamond.

Upper Deck owns SP So, it's possible they could put UD Buybacks into SP products and vice-versa. There's lots of UD cards that are buybacks that I've seen.

Where is the sticker on the back of the card that matches the COA?

We know they own SP, as SP is just a brand UD released. The part that doesn't make sense is that the COA clearly states the card attached to the COA is from either SP, SP Championship or SP Authentic brands. UD Black Diamond was none of those.

Also, the COA states the original card was purchased back from a third-party in 2000. That Black Diamond Game Gear card was inserted into 2000-01 Black Diamond, which wasn't even released until March 2001. How did they purchase a card from a third-party in 2000 that never even got packed out until March 2001?

Its also pretty uncommon that the buyback would be from the same year. Thats hardly a buyback (both cards are 2001 cards). It looks like the buyback of that Dirk would be a 1999 SP card either #/10 or unnumbered.

I'd also add that Dirk was still signing "full" autographs in 2000-01.

This looks like an authentic buyback from that year.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-01-SP-A...4AAOSw7PJZZWai

The OP one, at the minimum, the cert is not for that card.
1) The cert said the buyback card is from SP, SPA or SP championship. The buyback pictured is a Black diamond card.
2) The card is from the same year as the cert. I don't believe UD do any same year buyback back then.
3) There is no hologram on the card with the matching number.

I have no clue whether the Dirk auto is fake or not but the cert. is definitely not for that card.

I reported this auction to eBay. Hopefully the auction gets pulled!

The auto doesn't look authentic in my opinion for what it's worth.

I personally think its fake. Maybe not the seller but I have a feeling the original card got graded and is sitting in his collection and now he faked this and is basically giving up his COA since the original is slabbed. We all know buybacks the coa doesnt get slabbed with the card.
