Dating myself a bit, but I remember watching the 1998 Winter Olympics ice hockey games and listening to this guy. That year Hasek was playing some of the best hockey I've ever seen; I remember him making his signature dive saves, for example. Basically he was straight hustling and you could tell he wanted to win the gold for his country.

Emrick's narration matched the level of intensity on the ice. Ever since then his voice has become synonymous with hockey to me, so I had to pick this up.

One of my favorite '90s insert sets, probably because I pack-pulled the Blues one. These were inserted 1:27.



The Super Team cards were "interactive," where if your team ended up winning the Conference Championship, you received specially-stamped versions of that team with the Conference logo on them. If your team won the Cup, you got the Stanley Cup Championship logo printed on them.

I thought I had the whole set, but I only have nine of them. I shall rectify this disparity in due time.
