Thoughts on a decent price? Got auto declined at $550 on one. Figured that might get it done considering other recent sales. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yup, overpaid, but it was COMC money and just got it in yesterday -- looks a lot better, might try to cross it over. Can't go wrong with #'d rookies in Pats uni IMO. What have you guys been buying all season? Could of bought both of those cards for almost half the price not even 2 months ago. nice cards and I'm sure your happy with them as I would be. Im just confused on why you waited till the last minute. For the fleer metal it's what every you're willing to pay at this point. If you really want it then buy it for as cheap as possible and dont regret over paying for it at current market cause that can change next week. Like people mentioned it should be a $1000 card so that's up to you on how bad you want it and what youre willing to pay. |

Nope.. ask him I wouldn't pay more than 6 till the ones in auction end. One ended for 525 and your telling him to bin for 750.. made me laugh and aggravated at same time that some one would give that advice to a buyer to pay 750 for a metal when there clearly selling for way less still

Sure, but R&S doesn't come up often AT ALL. People were buying raw R&S for over $800 in December. |

Or I could have just been looking for a little advice being new to the Brady market. My nerdy accountant brain doesn't deal well with over paying, hence the question. But hey, if you take it as being too concerned, go for it. Appreciate the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

re the metals there are a couple 10s that will hammer in a few days. i dont believe the price will change so much that it would be worth hitting a bin at 650 with those auctions still open. if they hammer at 600+ then go for it. until then hold out you may end up winning it at 550 or so.
imo the metal is probably the best $ for $ investment brady rc left at this point.

So here's something interesting I just noticed. I know we were talking about the 02 SB Auto/Relic card a few days ago and looking at the streaky/faded autos. It appeared (then) that the black pen was used for the lower serials before he switched to blue, but I just saw this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Topps-...8AAOSwgLlaa3DV Blue auto #12, still a little streaky, but not as faded as this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-SP-Top...YAAOSwbWZaalIC Black auto #18. Seems interesting, maybe blue for jersey #? But why would that even matter to them/him. Did they save the #12 auto for the end? Seems these were just kinda all over the place. Edit: here's another blue early serial # https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Topps-...wAAOSw9V1aZ8nM Last edited by vanpatten; 01-26-2018 at 03:12 PM. |

Why are so many people just now wanting Brady cards? Go buy Manning and Rodgers, they are way cheaper and they are the best from what I read.

Maybe some of us are just returning to the hobby after several years away, to the dawning realization that our obsession following the Pats over the years would have paid huge dividends if we had been collecting his cards all along, rather than focusing all of that time and money traveling all over the country to see Brady play in person...? Maybe the price run-up is also resulting in a "better late than never" attitude, arising from the sentiment of "yes, prices are at all-time highs, but the debate is over, he's obviously the GOAT, and it's only going to get worse"...? But, hey - that's just me. What do I know...? Obviously, not much - since I'm one of the "obviously dumb to wait so long" just joining the party in the last few months. |
