2017 Bowman's Best & Black Friday Breaks(Pics)

I always enjoy reading everybodys breaks so thought I would share.

So I finally got around to opening my boxes that I ordered on Black Friday along with 5 boxes of Bowman's best that I grabbed at the LCS this morning.

I didn't go crazy volume wise on Black Friday since I had a budget to stick to and since I am very selective.

Only thing Non Baseball, I love history so had to grab a case of pieces of the past. I knew what I was getting into. Not the best break but was still fun and use the base cards to teach my daughter about history. I think they hurt themselves of selling this in the future or the 2nd version.. to many blank pieces... who wants to look at that? Got a few great ones though!

Baseball Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I grabbed 2 boxes of 2015 Stars and Stripes, I always have heard it was a fun rip so wanted to dabble in it. Didn't really hit anything except a Byrce Harper patch and then this. Didn't think anything of it until I looked him up and realized he was the #1 pick in 2017... so hoping he turns out great! Pretty cool card out of I think a $29 box

I did purchase 6 boxes of 2017 Heritage Minors.... that was a bloodbath in my opinion. Don't want to show anything, I think my best hit was a Chance Adams auto and a Ronald Acuna nickle card thing. Not my type of product so can't get to mad about it.

Purchased 1 box of Archives Signature Series... Didn't expect much since I had watched case breaks but have seen some awesome pulls. Never purchased the product but again dabbled in it. Ended up pulling Luis Severino 1/4. I think he has potential so was actually pleased with the card,

Next I had to try a box of Luminaries... at $179 a box it was more then I have ever spent on 1 box of anything but again saw breaks and most of the cards looked nice! This one kinda hurt since he didn't have a great 2017 but could rebound this year. It helped it was 5/5.

Now I just said $179 a box was the highest I have purchased up to that point... well I decided YOLO and purchased 1 box of Dynasty. I think I got it at $379 which is just crazy lol.I actually went to bed last night knowing I was going to open this today and had thoughts of seeing BLUE or a Tag. Well I noticed gold and thought its out of 5 which is a great start. Started seeing the patch and kinda knew right away it was a Brave. Again hope he turns it around this year! I like the patch and the gold color, pretty neat card but don't think I will ever spend almost $400 on a box.

I had to grab 2 boxes of the Mega Bowman boxes, not sure what I paid but I think it was under $40 a box. Was hoping for an Otani but came out happy with these 4 cards. When I saw that orange I was like please oh please be Otani. It wasn't but happy about the player since he doesn't seem to be a scrub.

I bought into a 5 case Flawless baseball break a month ago and it was a player break. Well I am starting to collect Altuve so had to get him. Surprised the auction ended at $60. Really happy with getting 5 cards in the break... wish they had logos but still pretty crisp clean cards. I was able to get the patch card in the random.

I had $500 saved to spend on cards and thought about grabbing a few cards off of Ebay for my Altuve PC but didn't see anything that just jumped out that I wanted. So I went to the LCS, I didn't know what I wanted and the owner suggested Bowman's Best. He has always been real straight with me and mentioned it was a superb product this year. At $110 a box which is now pretty much the normal going rate of a box of cards I decided to go for it. He had about 20 boxes scattered and grabbed 5 random boxes. Went above my budget but whatever.

I am extremely happy with the product and the way the cards look and feel. I think I am a buyer of a few cases for 2018's product if it is roughly the same. The atomic cards are just so great to look at. I knocked this out the park, I think grabbing random boxes worked out this go around!!

In the same box I pulled 2 redemption's.. I figured it had to be good since most of the redemption's seem to be of pretty great players. It turned out pretty good!

All in all I think I did great with the breaks and really just sold on Bowman's Best for 2017. Now to sorting everything and sleeving more cards!
