Will be interesting to see how cheap they get on eBay during the open buying window. You can get them in lots of 20 for $3.75/card from Topps. Wouldn't be shocked if someone ends up under $5/card.

No I'm not, but I was going to be preselling some but Jake already took these to the bottom on eBay at $5.50 each. I really like the set after seeing the art first hand at Topps last week....and that is why I was excited about it. That and the set will be like the song that never ends...it will go on and on and on always in the 53 design.

Shoot, I didn't see you could bulk buy on the individual cards. I just bought 5 bundles. Whoops.

Soooo...when Aaron Judge goes to the Red Sox, he is eligible for another card?

Cheapest options via bulk ordering:
$3.75/card @ 20 cards individually
$4.50/card @ 10 cards individually

$5/card (if ordered as part of 3 card bundle)

$5.60/card @ 5 card individually

So either buy the bundle, 10 cards or 20 cards to get a decent discount.

See above. Better to buy 5 bundles vs. 5 individual if you want all cards.

Jake already has them up at $5.50....to me break even is $4.92 not counting time and top loaders. So I'm already out of preselling them. A happy medium would have been $6.50, then it might be worth my time to do these and give the buyer a decent savings. But since we are starting at the bottom, jake and they guys who follow him have already priced me out of preselling these.

True story. Think this is intentional to get people invested in building the sets themselves. I have to say, I'm really liking this idea and probably going to do 1-2 sets myself. Unless they get down close to $4/card on eBay, I'll just be buying from Topps and accumulating rewards points.

So buy 10+ of a single card you like, buy the 3-card bundle, or go to eBay for these.

Yeah it's tough. Kind of had to see it coming though. Sellers going to cannibalize each other.

$5.50 card - 13% for eBay and PayPal = $4.79. Say - $0.75 for PWE, stamp and penny sleeve/toploader = $4.04.

$4.04 - $3.75 = $0.29/sale.

I guess if you've got a system down and can ship quickly, it's not a bad way to get into Plat, but hot damn those are slim margins.

These are not part of the Topps Now Platinum program...so yes just like Now, I'm not preselling these. Jake & SPW have many people that buy multiples and buy week after week so they can bundle and ship so they do a little better then the .29 but I take into account the "I never got the card" a$$hats and it's been a losing endeavor and not worth the stress.

You could have been the trend setter....it took Now just about the entire first year before they got below $6.88 a card.

Now with free shipping, $5 a card is a bit easier to handle when getting the bundle!

$5.50 delivered seems like a foolish move for the seller. Not sure what their motivation would be going that low!

This set looks awesome.

Reminds me of etopps. Once a player gets a card they can not be used again. It will be interesting to see which stars they hold back for 2019, 2020 etc. Also... how long before rookies get cards. If a big prospect gets called up mid April... will they rush to get him into the set?

I have some junk I dont want that I'd gladly sell to buy 3 cards a week.
