And...here's my 52T. Just a lowly 1...but I do think it presents extremely well for the grade (and the centering for this issue is pretty decent, too)

At this point I need six more base cards to complete the set (and would like to upgrade 5 others). Making progress!

Thanks for looking.

That 56 is *very* nice. What a great card!

So...acquiring the right 1953 Topps Mantle for my collection has been a bit of an ordeal...! First, I bought a well-centered 5...but then, the edges were a bit more chewed up than I would have liked...and shortly thereafter, I found a nice PSA 4.5 that I thought presented even better than the 5...so I jumped on the 4.5, and promptly traded the 5 away for a few other Mantle needs. The other guy was local, and we met at a gas station because every other business was closed @ 10pm on a weeknight. LOL! Anyway...I was very happy with the trade. Unfortunately, the 4.5 ended up being a bit of a disappointment.

The card itself was very nice, but...well, I'm sure you can see the problem here:

I don't know who was more crushed by the way things turned out...me, the seller...or the Mantle! Who knew the USPS could drop an elephant on a Registered package...?!? Thankfully I was covered...but it was very disappointing that such a beautiful card was now lost...and to make matters worse, the seller had only insured the package for $1000, and he ended up eating the rest of the loss.

After all of that, though...the best possible outcome has finally been achieved. Here's the latest addition to my collection:

When I first saw this one I nearly fell out of my chair. So glad this one didn't have any difficulty arriving in one piece!

Here is my newest higher end vintage. It has moved to the top as one of my favorites list.

Wow, nice pickups guys! Mine are not so high end lol but I like them. 2 more HOF rc, 2 more Ernie Banks for my base run and a couple more for my PSA runs of Layne and Tunnell

Johnston Cookies is a regional issue from down south. Is is supposed to be considerably rarer than Aaron's Topps RC.
