2nd box of Ohtani replacements has arrived. They are looking beautiful. Also in is Topps NOW up to 128. So my day just got busier.

A mixture of 50 count cases and 20s. Nothing different than what we've seen.

Sounds like the briefcase had adequate padding and they weren't rattling around in the cases. You probably didn't notice but I hope topps is using 3 armed guards instead of cutting corners and only using 2.

I’m just not understanding any of this

Why can’t they ship safely the first time ?

They did this for Week 3's... I thought this was the new way of shipping. The cards arrived in GREAT shape. But it was just a 1 week thing. No more foam on top. I hope they go back to it

That is how my last two replacement orders were shipped. All the cards looked great.

Different people shipping maybe...I think they need a standard to follow

I would agree except for the fact that I have several cards that have no flaws whatsoever (and if so, something very minute) and are STILL PSA 9s. Completely subjective.

I understand the reaction, but the way I look at it is this is an expert's opinion on the card. Not "The Opinion," even if we tend to treat it that way.

Ideally, there would be some explanation given for the grade so you don't have to figure out how they came to that conclusion. For what it costs, that shouldn't be too much to ask.

Regardless, I'm happy with my pickup and look forward to adding more Living PSA 10s (imperfect or not) to my collection. I've picked up a few BGS as well, but those aren't keepers.

The real utility of grading for me is for people who get my cards after I'm gone. They can still get fleeced, but if they will do a little homework and want to sell them, they should know what to ask for.

I feel like the back and forth might could look like an attempt to belittle the card... I mean nothing of the sort! You are a smart man to do that for future generations.

Exactly.

Topps or someone with a connection to Topps has to read this board. Gotta think that little foam piece is a hell of a lot cheaper than reprinting tons of cards and have to pay someone to ship them out weeks after the initial shipment was sent.

Topps... save the time and money and just insert a small piece of foam on top as well.

No, I didn't take it that way at all. I don't ever mind providing fodder for an interesting hobby discussion and I can see why the grade might be questioned.

I just wanted to share my perspective on it, but I appreciate your reply.

I ordered 100 Acunas and all of mine were shipped with foam between the 20 cards. 5 different packs of cards. Most in great shape too!
