Default Big Trade Day... I Got My Baby Back.

So about 3 years ago, I was in a tight spot for money. I have a friend who had been asking me about my LeBron collection and if it was for sale. Now I had these cards for 10+ years, never thought I would sell them.

Before this, I hit the bay. I sold all 6 of my LeBron 2005-06 Finest refractors. Got about 200-300 on those. Pretty good at the time! Now... not so much.

Next, I asked my friend to come over and pick some LeBrons he liked. I sold him a couple rookies and my LeBron 04-05 SPx Flashback Fabrics Auto/Jersey Card. Supposedly there are 23 of these, if anyone can confirm. I gave it to him for I think $200. I have regretted that for 3 years. Today, my friend was amazing and decided to sell it back to me. I've been bugging him about it for weeks since I got back into cards. He gave me a really great deal and I'm so glad to have it back. It was my favorite card of all time.

Here it is

Very nice card...

On a side note, I’ve noticed the autographs on a lot of Lebron cards from 2004-2008 already beginning to show ink loss in the signature....any concern for the future of holding an autograph card for 20+ years and how much a faded autograph would impact value?

I believe it was a problem at signing because it was the same exact when I got it to begin with. Which I can't even give an exact time frame, but maybe 10 years ago.

Thanks man! Anyone have an idea of value? Not really looking to sell, but it'd be nice to know. I see some guy has it listed for about $1,800, but it seems high and it's not sold of course.

Was this a problem with a lot of these? Honestly I think it's the piece it's actually signed on. It seems like paper-ish

I've traded/sold a couple of cards on the past I've regretted letting go, but have since re-aquired them thank goodness!

Keep it this time lol.

Great feeling huh? The only thing that's tough is if I get a great offer on it randomly and knowing how much I paid for it, if that offer is so high, I might have to! But then watch it triple in price again and me hate myself all over again

The problem is probably that they were having the players sign pieces of white construction paper essentially. That white "cut" material Upper Deck was using around 03-06 was terrible.

Yep, that's what I figured. The auto goes from bold to fade to bold. Anytime you write on construction type paper this happens. Oh well. I love how long his auto is in this one. After that year it seemed LeBron got lazy with his auto and it became very short.
