Default What would you do with this Estevan Florial?

Found 5 Bowman Mega boxes yesterday and figured I would give them a try.....pulled this Estevan Florial:

What would you do with it? I'm guessing my options are:

1) Hang onto it raw and see how he develops
2) Get it graded and hang onto it to see how he develops
3) Sell it now on eBay for $150+ and get exposure to my other cards
4) Sell it on Blowout for $140+ and save the eBay fees
5) Something else

He’s hurt right now, I pulled the green refractor. He has an interesting back story and he’s a Yankee.. I’m opting for option 1 or 2, wait it out, at least until he gets back in the field and more of the mega dries up.

The bigger question is, where did you find 5 megas yesterday? Was there a restock after the initial one?

Found in one of the 3 Targets in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was in that same store last week and the display was empty, so either somebody returned boxes after Ohtani went down, or there was a restock.

My new home town of Santa Fe has 1 Target....the Mega display has been empty since day one.....not saying there hasn't been a restock, but if there was I missed it.

Either 3 or 4. There are so many better investments you can make with $150 imo

If Florial played for any other team this card would be $50 tops.

Forgot to mention isn't his first Bowman coming out in a couple months? All the more reason to sell.

Hadn’t even heard of the guy until megas came out and next thing you know he’s the best thing since sliced bread

No way they were returned. Even with Ohtani value down, they're still one of the best ROI products of the year.

LOL. OP Drew Waters is a better prospect and you can go buy 5 of them for $150

Sell and buy his 1st real bowman auto when it comes out in Bowman Chrome.

He’s a 5-tool outfield prospect with power, #1 in yankees organization, in the top 50 on every list, 20 years old, and this is his first auto. If you’re prospecting; what else could you possibly look for?

Plate discipline and a no trade clause to start with.

Is there a lot of upside? Sure. $150 for a card that isn't even his first Bowman? Hard pass.

Good point.. he’s due back playing in August? So maybe wait and consider selling middle August, although I’ll still hold onto mine until next May.

I agree with most in that I would sell it right now. This card will be an afterthought when his Bowman Chrome auto is released with the "1st" designation. Just look at Pache from 2017 and 2018.

IMO, if it was not for the market deciding what is better, I would be fine with buying this card and holding it as his first auto.

Enough of this first logo crap. This is his first chrome auto.

If you want to be really nit-picky, you could say that his Sterling from 2018 Bowman is his first Chrome auto, albeit an insert.

I personally would rather have the Sterling auto than the mojo. I think they are sweet looking.

Interesting perspectives.

So, worst case scenario is obviously disaster, never comes back from injury, falls off the face of the earth. Other than that, this kid is working on the aforementioned plate discipline, has excelled faster than any of his (international) draft class (besides Soto?) and assuming he continues as Yankees #1 prospect, what would y’all assume the prospect of this card to be moving forward (even beyond Sept Chrome drop)? Does it hold it’s value? Double, assuming the progress? If he is next years...? Gleyber, let’s say, what would y’all assume the hi value of this card is?

Honestly, if you can sell this for $150 then you should be able to get a base auto from 18 Chrome with the "1st" designation for less than that and I would much rather have it than the mojo. Just my opinion. The price of the mojo should drop once the 18 Chrome auto comes out.

It appears that the majority are in the "sell now" column. Since I am more of a flipper than a collector, while I do hope to pull one of his cards with the "1st" logo on it, I don't really have any interest in purchasing one when Bowman Chrome hits.

Since he appears to currently be injured I think my best course of action is to wait until he returns back to action and sell the card before Bowman Chrome hits.....after reading the opinions posted that appears to be the way for me to get the best ROI.

The 5 Megas cost $80.57 after tax. If I can sell for $175+ I will double my investment(after PayPal fees and shipping costs) plus I still have a small group of other Mega Mojo cards that could bring another $10 or more.
