Prospect content rules baseball and this product seems to lack that. I have a feeling this will be a big failure compared to how Five Star does in football.

Good to see Longoria in it, will definetly be picking up his base, and maybe singles if the price isnt too outrageous.

Prospects rule the mid market, investment-minded crowd but veterans still rule high end products. Museum Collection, Tribute and Tier One have done well this year. We shall wait and see but I don't forsee people being able to justify buying at this price point for any rookies outside of Darvish, Trout and an already highly produced Harper.

You must be mistaken. Ever heard of tribute, tier one or museum collection? Baseball veterans and HOFers outsell football vets and HOFers by a wide margin.

I admit, I like collectibles for the action. Buying, selling, prospecting, gambling, etc., are parts of the fun. I will say that being older than many here I just can’t justify sticker autos. Give me a nice on-card auto and I feel that little connection to the signer. |

Zombie bump to point out...
...Topps just filled three Felix Hernandez patch/auto cards from ![]() ![]() Felix Hernandez had on-card, patch cards in 2016 Five Star. ![]() 2016 Topps Five Star - Autographed Jumbo Patch Relics #FAJP-FH - Felix Hernandez /25 Courtesy of COMC.com Why did it take 6 years for these other cards to be filled? I'm still miffed at Topps for the replacement process on my 2013 Ripken Five Star, but glad to see other "lost" cards still coming through the pipeline. |

![]() Alas, I wish that was my Felix, but it's not. Just wanted to illustrate that he has on-card autographed patch cards in a Topps product after 2012. Maybe Topps just found his 2012 Five Star cards in their undoubtedly well-organized inventory. ![]() |
