Default MLB needs to install a roof over every stadium

I'm sick and tired of rain delays impacting the game negatively today. There are a multitude of reasons on why every future stadium that is going to be built HAS to have a roof built with it and why every current stadium that does not have a roof must have a roof installed over it as soon as possible.

No more rain delays - No one wants to go to a game and then have to endure a 3 hour rain delay. Players don't want to endure that either. If they do start the game back up after a lengthy rain delay, then there are only a few fans left in the stadium and it just completely kills the atmosphere of watching a baseball game when you can hear a pin drop during the game.

No more rain shortened games - The absolute most BS way to win a game. How can you call a game final when there's only been 5 innings played? You are taking away 4 innings from the losing team to have a chance to come back. Who knows what would have happened in those innings? But, nope, no one will ever know because rain ended the game early.

No more games of having to play in hazardous weather - A roof can solve the issue of having to play in hazardous weather like snow, low temperatures, rain, lightning, etc. That way, we can play baseball in comfortable conditions all year round and there will never be any excuses from a player or team that the conditions caused them to lose the game.

Retractable roof maybe.

Maybe not, the game and the stadiums and parks are fine. No stupid rule changes or roofs.

Are you going to pay for this?

I'll sacrifice a few rainouts a year for playing baseball the way it's meant to be played....in an open stadium!

I do think all new stadiums being built should have a retractable roof. With the technology we have today it's just silly not to have one.

No, I think he's serious. That'd be a lot if words typed if he was joking.

Yea okay, let's put that roof on dodgers stadium where it never rains. Weather is all part of the game.

I really don't think putting a roof works for some stadiums and place that don't rain at all.....

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains.

Truman Sports Complex, which houses both the Chiefs and Royals originally had a plan where they were supposed to have a retractable roof in between the stadiums. I guess there was a construction strike and that was one of the things they left out so they could get the stadiums open in time for the season. I think it would benefit Arrowhead and the K because sometimes we get all 4 seasons in 1 day. Spring can be as cold as 25 degrees and summer can sometimes reach as hot as 115 with the heat index, but I don't think every stadium needs a retractable roof. And during the Chiefs season and can get as hot as 100 and as cold as single digits

I am willing to bet that the majority of Pirates fans would rather have games impacted by weather than have a roof on account of the beautiful park and the picturesque view of the city.

We should build roofs all over the county. Then make Canada pay for it.

No way. I wouldn't go to a game. It's part of the experience.

As a Twins fan that went to games in the Metrodome for years. I would rather endure rain delays every game than go back to sitting in the big white toilet that was the Metronome. Baseball is an outdoor game meant to be played in the elements. It loses so much going inside.

For everyone whining about not being able to play "outside" with a roof over your head, that's why you make sure it's a retractable roof that you install over the stadium. Miller Park has this and it's closed when the weather isn't good, but opened when the weather is nice, so you get the best of both worlds.
