Not a fan of the design. Also why can’t Topps print their SPs on thicker stock so you don’t have to pull out a microscope to try and read the code.

I agree with you and I hate that since it could mean that they designed the base set with too much emphasis on how the parallels will look since there are now more parallels printed than there are base cards (hyperbole).

Then I realize this is Topps we're talking about and there is no way anyone over there has the foresight to think that far ahead about anything. I'll concede only that any good design is strictly a happy accident.

An improvement over 18’ IMO. It’s not the full boarders we’ve been waiting for, but it’s getting there.

Or make it fade a little more subtle down to the bar than the cut-off with a feathered edge. Over time, I think that weird gap would wear on me.

In general, I like it. Simple is better.

Let's get away from "edgy" photoshop designs trying to appeal to the social media generation and keep the flagship series a little more basic.

As long as the parallels pop, I'm good.
