After 349 days my order finally popped..... I must have had the toughest grader in the world, or at least someone who was having a pretty crummy day... Out of my 60 card order of almost only modern cards that have been taken very great care of, only one of the 60 had a sub grade of 10. One card with one centering sub grade of 10. I'm tired of these opinions. I know not every card is a 9.5... however, I only submit cards that have no issues to the eye. Maybe my eyes are getting bad, after all I am 37.

Haven't noticed any sign of "catching up" since they did away with the 10 day service. 10 months for me and it looks like I have another month or two to wait.

I didn't check my subgrades, but my overall grades were pretty bad.

I've been noticing a lot more bowman autos popping up on ebay in PSA slabs. The 10s are getting really good money also. I wonder what the new PSA economy pricing is going to be next month when it changes.

It's a scam. I sent in 9 cards that were the most perfect cards I've seen in my last 5 years of buying hundreds of thousands of cards.

Not a single 10 sub grade. There is no difference between a 9.5 and a 10. It's purely a scam.

Just look at cards w/10 centering versus those with 9.5 centering. That's all the proof you need really. It's not subjective, its non-existent.

BGS has two lotteries. The first is the state level lottery, it’s the one that hits most frequently, all 10 subs but one 9.5. The second is the Powerball/Mega Millions. It hits far less rarely, it’s the Black Label Pristine grade consisting of ALL 10 subs!

Marketing, Marketing, Marketing.

If a Black Label Pristine 10 was a real thing, you would have seen them LONG before the last 3-4 years. BGS found a way to make more money, that’s what a Black Label is.

If people don't like paying Beckett to give their opinion on the condition of the card, then slab it yourself and give it whatever grade you think it deserves. Problem solved, and money saved. Hell, you won't have to wait a year to get your cards back either.

Has everybody from 2017 nationals that dropped their cards off with beckett received their cards back? Im just curious as to where they are in the non-guarantee orders. I dropped mine off November 10th 2017 and they entered my order as received just before nationals but it still has yet to post any grades, shipping, or due date.

Every time I open up this thread I'm amazed at what a disaster BGS put itself in.

I'm no major player in terms of $ spent on grading, but I've got a 200+ card order going to PSA sometime in the next 10 days that would 100% have gone to BGS if not for this disaster

I wonder if BGS will even bring back the non-guaranteed service at all. Unless they hire a lot more graders to handle the flood of non-guaranteed submissions when they open the gates again, they're going to be right back in the same bad spot they're in now.

I didn't think they closed the non guaranteed, just the 10 day.

Whoops, you're correct. I'm just amazed that they're keeping the Non-Guaranteed Service open. I understand that it's their cheapest option for collectors, but it's the reason why they're in this predicament right now.

Pausing the 10-day service to catch up on non-guaranteed orders has not seemed to make a noticeable difference so far.

As much as it would suck for collectors, I wonder if BGS might be better off by just dropping the non-guaranteed service.

I think stopping 10 day let them get the 2017 National submissions returned before the 2018 National. I don't know why they are leaving it open since they are quoting 15-18 months to anyone that asks. I can't imagine anyone is happy after waiting that long, no matter how cheap.
