Anyone else here an AHS fan? How did you feel about the season premier last night?

It was a god awful premiere, but I expect it to pick up as the season progresses.
Lange, Britton, Roberts, McDermott, Farmiga, etc. all returning should add a lot.

God awful? Nah. That seems a bit harsh. They are world building, and I am cool with that. I haven't been truly disappointed with any single season of AHS yet, and I don't think this season will be any different.

Given up on the series. Each year they always start out pretty great and promising but by the 5th or 6th episode each season just gets beyond boring or predictable

God awful? Nah. I thought it was good, it gonna take some time to build everything up.

I haven’t been truly disappointed either but compared to Murder House, Asylum (my favorite) and Coven, the last couple of seasons have been blah. Although I do appreciate them trying different things.

I am the same way the first 3 were the best. I will say that Asylum started out slow and I hated it at first but on the re-watch it was great.

The first one here was weird but its trying to set the stage. I see a lot of potential in this season

Yeah, the premiere was strange but it has a lot of potential, especially with McDermott, Farmiga, Britton, etc, appearing at some point. This has the potentiality of being one of the better seasons, it’s just a matter of them executing it.

The one thing I wish they had expanded on was the very beginning about the missiles. Like what led to it? Terrorists? ISIS? Aaron Judge? Vampires? LeBron James? The Collective? Pat Mahomes? Rick & Morty? I kinda wanna know what led to it. Maybe we’ll find out but I wouldn’t be sad if we didn’t learn.

I thought it was easily the weakest season premiere they’ve ever had. The subject matter has been done to death and been done much better. There wasn’t a single “scary” thing about it. However, like I said, I very much anticipate it getting good once the majority of the cast shows up.

I finally caught the premiere and wow is all I can say, and not in a good way. Hopefully the return of some of the stats from the past brings it to life, but this first episode was pretty bad. The acting was dreadful and the story so far certainly isn’t helping.

It’s only episode 1 though so I’ll give it a chance, but this has been a show on a downward spiral for the last few seasons.

Also, Kathy Bates looks like Boo from OITNB.
