Sadly I no longer have the card but I wish I did.

Last year I pulled a Babe Ruth Bat Kings 10/10 out of 2017 Diamond Kings. I traded it for some Packers cards and ended up selling those cards.

I want the card back now. I'll likely never pull something like that again and having the keepsake and story is worth more than the money.

Hahaha. Ok, I’ll play along. I’ve hit a ton of 1/1s so the rarest question is a tie between a bunch of cards. But my personal favorite/best of my own pulls, is a 2005 Donruss Elite Throwback Threads Auto Mem George Brett and Brooks Robinson 1/1. It is the only Auto Relic card signed by just Brooks and Brett.

But my girls have hit a bunch better than me so I’ll list their best:

Jaina: 2013 Topps Mini Mike Trout 1/1 Platinum
Judi: 2012 Topps Archives Topps Vault Card...a 1 in 365,000ish pack hit that resulted in a Ted Williams signed Topps Contract

Also of note, Judi hit the Topps Jackpot Dig in 2011 winning one of the 60 Topps 60th Anniversary Rings.

They’ve also hit a TTT Verlander Signed White Whale, several Ichiro 1/1s, a Nelson Eddy 1/1 Mystery Cut Auto from UD, Topps Heritage Nolan Ryan Auto, Heritage Musial Autos (twice), Aaron Judge Rookie autos, Bryce Harper Auto /5 from the 2016 National Packs, and on and on and on.

Pulls...

2016 Bowman Draft Ben Bowden auto... red
2017 Bowman Draft Tristen Lutz insert auto... red

Purchased...

2017 Bowman Draft Triston McKenzie super

Probably will keep long term. Dollar amounts don't match the joy they bring.

I still have my best pull: 2009 UD Sig Stars Bryce Harper USA Future Watch Jersey Patch Auto /50. I bought a box of '09 UD SS in late 2013 in Blowout's "Holiday Madness" sale, at (I think) $39.99, for the sole purpose of chasing a Harper auto, and I guess I got one! It must have been a case hit, because I'd already pulled my two autos from the box, which I think were Matt LaPorta and a regular USA jersey auto of Garin Cecchini.

I hit my 1st superfractor in 2011 from Topps Chrome (still my only super).

It was Jake Peavy. I don't care about Peavy at all, but I held onto that card for 5 years just because it was my only super. Sold it for $75 or so in 2016.

Sold mine.....Giolito Superfractor Auto from 2013 Bowman. Don't really miss it.

However, basketball....2009-10 National Treasures RPA with an awesome patch.....Stephen Curry. Sold it a few years ago.

One just sold for $36, 411.

REALLY Miss it.

I started collecting with 86 Fleer Basketball. At one point I had 6 or 7 Jordan RCs. I sold most in the early 90's but my brother and I each kept 1.

Also, and this one wasn't a pull or the most valuable, but my Dad's favorite player as a kid was Roberto Clemente. Going through the basement in his childhood home, I found a small shoebox of old cards, and also found one tucked into an old wallet...61 Roberto. Not terrible shape, considering. Still have that one, won't ever sell it.

I still have this one, I'm not sure if it's technically a baseball card but it comes from one of my favorite baseball sets, so close enough.

Pulled out of a blaster from Target last spring, this will probably never leave my collection. Still remember the shock in pulling it.

Nothing rare but my best pull is probably a Bowman Pujols auto rookie, was a box topper. Still have it.

I got away from collecting in the early-mid 90s and didn’t get back into it really until 2015-16 and more heavily since...became infatuated with the 90s bkball inserts esp MJ....but wax is so expensive and risky unless it’s certified...fast forward m, friend in a fb group bought old new stock from family friend who owned a shop...I purchased my first and only 97-98 flair box and BOOM...still have it today...I recorded myself opening the box and it’s comical now to see how bad I was shaking trying to get it in a case and some very colorful commentary

I mentioned Ben Bowden earlier.

When I got into collecting last summer, his was the first auto received during a case break. Knowing nothing about prospecting, I bought as many autos as I could find.

I keep finding small lots of autos in odd places, and in total, the tally is north of 70. I would buy lots off BO or Ebay averaging about $4 each.

Sent away to his Asheville club and got a baseball signed TTM. Also, found a college WS ball signed by him on Ebay.

It became something of a project, because every time that I entered a 2016 Bowman draft I was sure to select him with a later pick.

I had thought about dumping him and moving on to something with more potential.

I had almost pulled the trigger on a red non auto and auto lot for about $100 or so during an ebay discount.

Just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger.

In the last break, I think it was Roger who pulled me a red auto. I was Stoked! That was my best ever pull.

So I can't stop now. So close to the rainbow and closing in on triple digits on the auto front.

At least he had a respectable year returning from the DL.

Kinda silly for a guy destined to be a set up man or closer.

From a dollar standpoint, still under $400.

Might sell the bulk of the autos if I could find a jersey. Eventually envision his superfractor.

That red will remain in the collection for a long, long time.

I know plates aren’t for everyone but I bought this a couple years ago and definitely one of my favorite “cards” I own. Also started a pretty solid plate collection after this purchase including rookie and rookie autos plates (mostly flagship and chrome) of Harper, Judge, Bryant, Correa, Benny, Machado, Sanchez and more. I enjoy it.

cool topic...i still have my biggest hit. Can't imagine a scenario where I would sell it as it is my first and still only 1/1 pull so it holds sentimental value over monetary value for me.

(Peyton Manning 1/1 buyback auto for curious minds)

I sold my pack-pulled 2016 Kyle Schwarber Superfractor Topps Chrome Auto RC at the peak of Cubs mania in 2016 for 3 grand. Definitely haven't regretted that for a second!

Edit: looks like someone is selling it (now graded a PSA 9) for $3K on eBay now. Good luck with that, haha.
