So this will run you nearly $800 to complete.

"The new set gives fan a chance to relive all of their favorite moments while holding on to what they have loved about Star Wars since they were children," said a statement from the company.
Going broke isn't something I've loved about Star Wars since I was a child.

When they say crap like, "Let's you relive....." don't they realize that I can literally pull out my phone from my pocket and watch the movie on-demand? If I want to relive those moments, I can do so at my own pleasure. I don't need an overpriced set of cards that feature simple and cheap designs to relive my childhood.

Opening and reopening the same Topps SW cards with different backgrounds and borders sounds like reliving the past few years of my ADULTHOOD. Thanks Topps.

So countdown to Last Jedi was 20 cards... countdown to Solo was expanded to 25 cards... so Topps has figured out there are a couple hundred fans willing to keep buy these, and as expected they are expanding it again. But instead of going to 30 or 35 cards, Topps wants to really stick it to these fans by expanding it to 150+ cards??? I'm sure Topps will justify it as only 3 cards per week instead of 1 card every day.

Next: The Living Star Wars set.

Also, Topps needs some help in the Roman Numeral department.

Topps may be onto something. I think 3 more episodes could be necessary to close out this story properly.

The quantity discount isn't even all the significant. You can get 20 copies of a single card for $80, which is $4 per card. But if you buy Cards 1-3, that's $15, which is $5 per card. So no real reason to buy in bulk....

This card looks like sh*t. The bold yellow stripe, weak fonts and odd color choice for the border.

What are they thinking???

If they can put the Star Wars logo in blue going up one side and the card title lettering in red, they'll look just like the vintage Star Wars Wonder Bread cards.

They should do that.

Yeah. Past sets dropped the price from $10 to $4 per card. Now it’s about $5 to $4. Add costs for PayPal, shipping and I can’t see why a group buy would make any sense. Of course, one can argue that nothing about this set makes sense...

I think they're hoping people don't look at it as $750 for 150 cards, but rather a mere $15 a week....

I think they are darn good looking cards, but I don't know if I want a $750 commitment....

The only reason I’m thinking about it is that I have every new movie release set since 1977...and I was planning on stopping after episode 9. Seems like a good break point. I won’t be buying much until fall, and I expect a low print run since it will run for a year, there will be no group buys, and this set is getting serious hate by fans...

That was an error. Cost less to buy the three cards individually at full price...

Topps living set for Star Wars. I was wondering when they were going to get around to doing this. Has anybody ran numbers on how many Star Wars cards have been released in the past five years? Numbers have to be staggering.

Week 1 just sold out. Print run not posted yet.

Any guesses? I’ll speculate at 275.

Lowest print run to date for any countdown cards were 206 (first MBM Set), and 211 for a single solo card. This set has no group breaks and nobody liked the idea for this set. I think it will bottom out in the low 100 range in the spring sometime. First card typically has a high print run from anyone on the fence.

Any more educated guesses than mine?

100? I mean maybe some people will chase this, but I think it's a weak cash grab set. The style is odd and for some reason people think it's a good business model for stuff like this.

In reality it should be something Topps releases in January 2020 as one box set, maybe number the boxes, and charge $200 or something crazy.
