Im really only looking at Colts players, but Quenton Nelson and Daurice Fountain look limited based on eBay.

Picked up a cheap Fountain.

Also really happy to see Darius Leonard doesn't look to be SP'd like I thought he may be. Prices still wild for a Defensive Rookie.

The buy in for these quarterback cracked ice rookies is off the chain. Just amazing how much higher it is compared to 5 years ago.

Can someone explain for a contenders numb why they don’t announce the short prints when the product is released. Dalton Schultz cowboys wr, none on eBay. I have one, sp ssp, who the hell nows. Can someone fill me in

I find it to be nothing more than a cheap (but effective) sales tactic. By not announcing print runs, it creates artificial scarcity and makes collectors pay ridiculous prices for boxes and singles.

If an SP or an SSP is announced up-front, then people will just wait for the cards to hit eBay.

Good question. Panini took over Contenders 2009.

I would be worried about one looking like it's a sp then not and with the dumb ebay rules people filing returns withing the 6 months because the same card that went for 200 can be picked up for 20. Just my thought.

Ya, but on the flip side, if you’re the one who can figure out who the real SSP’s are before anyone else then you can pick those guys up for cheap.

Although it doesn’t really matter the same way it used to before all the variations and parallels meant that some scrub player who was SSP could be a $500-$1000 cars because people used to collect the set.

Not really an "SP" but both Mark Andrews and Orlando Brown only appear on the checklist with /1 parallels (SB ticket and the plates). Would it be safe to assume that the base and higher numbered parallels will likely end up on the rewards site at some point? Can't say I've ever seen a time where the only option is /1.

I haven't seen any base Isaiah Oliver's, only a few playoffs and 1 Ice.

Jalyn Holmes Variation is an SP. Only 3 on eBay with one sold.

Nope. Cordrea Tankersley for the Dolphins last year. His Super Bowl auto ticket showed up on eBay soon after launch (pulled in a LCS apparently) but as far as I know no more autos have shown up. I checked Rewards for a few months after but haven’t looked lately.

Wish they would go back to that. Listening to the forums, people hate the parallels but continue snapping them up on the secondary and selling out products that feature parallels. So the blame is really on the consumer, not the manufacturer.

Lauletta seems like the RPS mega-SP. They like the Giant's backups for those it seems.

Seems like a lot of RPS SPs this year - Gallup, Darnold, Rudolph, White, Gesecki, etc

Yes that one is mine. Are variations not as desirable as the base? Is the card still a sp or ssp though?

You need a PhD to understand contenders now.

I saw 8 cases yesterday and no Ronald Jones only 1 Baker no Rosen or Jackson I know Baker ,is on the bay just not seeing tons
