Don't feel like making a new thread so I'll post here. Anyone ever get a message from ebay saying a card is in someone's cart showing what the card is and if you lower the value 5% they'll email them saying the deal just got better. If so, did the card actually sell quickly after the message?

Just checked eBay... the cheapest Update PSA 10 BIN is $999.00... the highest is $1,200

Only 6 available

Being snatched up quick.

The gap between them and BGS 9.5 is getting so big now. Around $300-400 more and gap for PSA 9 to PSA 10 is $500+

I was curious, so I decided to take a look, numbers are likely skewed some do to crossovers, bump attempts, etc. Still interesting to see the comparison between his Finest Auto RC and the BC Auto. PSA is significantly less in both brands which is to be expected, but was surprised to see finest is much lower than the BCs at least from a total pop standpoint for what its worth. To simplify things, I just included BGS and PSA which most likely represents the majority of the pop.

2011 Finest #84 Autograph (includes base refractor and all parallels)
Total PSA Finest Autos-98
Total BGS Finest Autos-384
Total Finest Autos-482

2009 Bowman Chrome #89 Autograph (includes base refractor and all parallels)
Total PSA BC Autos-109
Total BGS BC Autos-684
Total BC Autos-793

The BC auto is obviously the better one to have and more sought after so maybe its higher simply due to more bump attempts, etc. Still thought the numbers would be closer with similar parallel numbers produced. Or am I missing something here?

IMO, people with items waiting in carts are waiting for coupons/eBay bucks. I’ve never lowered my price after that message.

That's what I was thinking. It had best offer on it, so I just lowered it to what I wanted and changed it to straight buy it now. Figured it wouldn't hurt.

Anyone win that 1/1 2015 Topps Platinum here? I was going to bid on it but I got the other one he was selling that ended just before it.

Edit: What's people take on waiting a day to pay to see if a coupon shows up tomorrow. I feel like I always miss out of these when I buy something over $500. I normally pay asap but it is the end of a quarter this week.

Topps recently estimated that 6.3M Baseball Card Collectors existed.

If only 1% of those 6.3M want a PSA 10 Trout Update... The 4000 supply will not be enough to satisfy the demand.

Yeah, I bought that one. Funny thing is I placed a bid when the price was at $505 and I only bid, I think, $535. I thought for sure someone would either have outbid me already or sniped it at the end, but that didn't happen. Card definitely isn't gem so maybe that's why, but for a 1/1 it seemed like a decent price.

With his rookies going crazy I've definitely been focusing on some of his other cards. The value seems to be a lot better.

I bet there is someone out there sitting on a mountain of PSA 10's. Literally hundreds. I'd bet just about anything.

That's why pop reports don't 100% matter.
