I'll second that. I know there has been some talk about people not even knowing what or who COMC is. I did some shows the last year or two and prolly 20% of the people knew what I was talking about when I mentioned COMC.

You would think they would spend some money for advertising, other than Beckett. Who reads Beckett? And again, shows would prolly be the cheapest way to get the word out.

You can filter down the port sale by sport and year. A few years ago, I sold off around 20-30k cards this way by breaking down into smaller 3-5k ports. Usually you get better return breaking down into smaller lots anyways, even when factoring in the $10 fee.

Thanks. Problem is filtering doesn't help. Guess I will just reduce prices down on the bulk sale editor and hope it gets below 5,000. dont understand the reason for this limit.

You could run sales for a while until the port gets to be the desired size.

You will get a higher percentage through sales than you ever will through port sales.

Anyone else seeing a slight lull in sales? The majority of my port is baseball and I feel like people are waiting on the season to begin before buying.

My last few 11 day promotions have been within pennies of one another in terms of consistent sales and this new start to the 11 day cycle could be 30% lower, or more.

I was just playing around with the seller stats by month now that I've got a year's worth of sales since joining COMC. I figured out the percentage of sales by month. In theory, perfectly normalized sales month means I'd sell 8.33% of my sales each month. I'm definitely seeing a lull in 2019 so far. (March was adjusted for the fact there are still 5 days left)

March 2019 5%
February 2019 6%
January 2019 6%
December 2018 8%
November 2018 14%
October 2018 10%
Sept 2018 12%
August 2018 12%
July 2018 8%
June 2018 3%
May 2018 10%
April 2018 7%

I would agree with this, but March has been very strong for me. My 2019 sales number is 12.03% higher then march of 2018, with 5.5 days left.

I deleted the email-mainly asking why the transaction purchase/return don’t show in transaction history with details? Thanks

Is there anything I can do for a card I have had listed on COMC for a few months and still isn't showing on eBay?

No, generally only maybe 30-50% of your port will actually be listed on eBay. They have some kind of secret formula behind the scenes that picks the cards they think have the best chance of selling on eBay.

Someone bought an Antoine Walker Essential Credentials RC/499 for I believe 2.50 today. It sold out right before I was able to buy it. Congrats to the buyer.

A year ago I had that happen to me. I even though I got it. I hit the purchase button and it stated NOT FOR SALE. When I do not show up in my port I was confused. In a few days it showed up for sale at 10x what he paid for it. It has been a year or so and he still has it but at only 2x that he paid for it. None of that card has every sold.

Sold close to 300 cards in about three hours today - run a big sale and stuff will start flying out of your port

Nice job.

I'd love to use some newly found money to buy some of your port but it has been the weirdest week ever.

I noticed that. I've never been to a show before. Can we drop off cards to them to save on shipping?

Yeah my sales have been surprisingly light too. I started off the month with a bang, but things have really slowed down since the 8th or so. This is my first full year on COMC so I'm getting used to the seasonality of my sales, but I expected my monthly sales yield would be in the range I usually see in the regular season (12%-15% of total port value) but it's looking like it'll still be in the offseason range (6%-10% total port value).

If it is the only one on site, sometimes repricing helps.

If there are others listed, you may be out of luck until the ebay listing ends. And then there is only a small chance it will get listed.

yes it will, I did some cleaning of my post as well posted a huge sale and so far have sold nearly 600 items out of my port. Mostly items that were just gathering dust. Will happily see them gone as my next submissions get closer to being ready.
