... what exactly is in it.

I see the price is around $95 per box and was wondering if you can come close to that if you want to turn around and sell.

"PER BOX ITEMS
* 3 autograph or memorabilia cards
* 1 parallel
* 2 rookies"

from these hits, what am I looking for, generally speaking.

Typically, you will get one single color plain jersey card, a prime jersey patch card, and then either an autograph card or a jersey/auto card as the three "big" hits.

It's a fun break overall with tons of great looking jersey patches, although you can get a good enough break to get your money back, you are definitely not guranteed to get your money back by breaking one box of this.

i don't know much about the football releases ... basically i'm looking for something with some nice autos and patches while looking to keep those of my favorite players (doubtful i'll be that lucky), and sell those i don't have to keep. i've seen some suggest donruss threads, leaf cert, but I'm currently leaning toward Gridiron Gear. Can't really afford trilogy, although I guess I could if I only get one box.

no no stay away from tirlogy, all the breaks I saw were awful!...I considered Threads cause I want a Letterman, another reason I want rookie threds..but thats like $250 a box....so I have gotten 2 LCM's and 1 GG with 2 GG on the way, might be one less hit but I got a sweet box of GG last time (Quinn Jumbo patch/Auto, 2 color Roethlisberger patch, dual 2 color Dickerson patch) So if all the breaks are near that...I will be more than happy

I'd have to agree with the Trilogy warning. I haven't bought any boxes myself, but I've watched some people at the local card shop open a ton and I haven't seen anything spectacular come out of it yet. There was the occasional decent hit, but not for the box price. I've tried about a box worth of packs here and there and I haven't gotten anything worth mentioning.....maybe a Quinn jersey /199 but hardly a huge hit.

I've opened a few boxes of GG and I'm fairly pleased with the product. While its a gamble like any other product, at least you get some decent looking cards and they'll actually give you a good looking jersey or patch card like UD used to do. Those seem hard to come by nowadays. I've bought some Rookie Threads as well and I did a little better than Trilogy. I do like the letterman cards even though they are manufactured patches as opposed to game worn. Kind of odd to get a Lorenzo Booker letterman card with a yellow letter.

Absolute was pretty nice when it first came out. This is the first year I've bought Absolute and for whatever reason the box prices have come down a little. I'm not really sure how they hold their value compared to something like Gridiron or an UD product, but the cards are decent. I managed to pull a Calvin Johnson auto patch /50 out of it, so maybe I'm a little biased

I really like the ud rookie threads...had some nice pulls from this set. 14 hits for 232.00. 2 lettermen cards

4 autos and 8 jerseys/duals on average. Pulled a nice Russell Auto /100 and Russell/Bowe Jersey /10. Waiting til Russell gets the starting job. I'm a Russell pulling freak! I usually get one per box no matter what I buy..LOL
probably enough to pay for each box!

McCown is starting Sunday over Culpepper. The ineptitude of those two should get Russell starting by Thanksgiving. Michael Bush is practicing with the scout team too. A lot of hobby potential on that team right now.
