Trying to decide if I want to unload a lot of my Giannis and just hold on to the 34 best cards.

Agreed but still only 54 psa 10’s. This card is iconic and rare, and is actually rare lol- unlike the newer stuff

I don't think they have to win the championship to sustain these prices. They were only supposed to be a 4th or 5th seed. They have to reach the ECF for sure. Reaching the Finals would do insane things to his prices.

It will be like Andrew Luck a few seasons ago when he was hyped to be the next great QB and he led the Colts to the AFC Championship against the Patriots. Colts got destroyed but Lucks prices went bananas that offseason. If Giannis leads the Bucks to the ECF but doesnt reach the Finals... his prices will still go bananas heading into next season as well.

Agreed, a Championship isn't needed to sustain these prices, but man would it solidify them. A deep run into the playoffs/ECF would tell us all, Giannis and the Bucks have arrived, and we need to take them seriously from now on. I think, even without a Championship this season, his stuff will continue to be at a premium. And then there will be the "Pre-Season" build up hype that will probably push a bit higher yet.

I wasn't expecting what we are seeing already however. Prices have been relentless in their climb.

Depends on how you view his career arc. I don't even think he's come close to touching his prime.

Championships would be a huge boost. But he doesn't need one right now to continue the upward trajectory. He's got the it factor, that only two other players in the league have IMO.

Completely agree. It seems to me that people just don't want to fully embrace Durant or Harden for 'NEXT'. We (collectively) were about to do it for Curry, then Lebron reminded us its still him in 2016. But, you can feel the tide turning, and all signs are pointing Giannis' direction. Why is Giannis a better candidate for ' next' can be debated. But I think a lot of it is his demeanor, his style of play, his story, and he looks the part as crazy as that sounds.

But most importantly he's turned into the best two way player in basketball and is now winning.

Disagree here. Bron 03 stuff is at crazy heights, and he's not even that likeable lol!

Giannis can take it up 2-3 more levels price wise. All depends on if he starts getting some hardware, individual and team.

Dark horse is still Kawhi. If he shows Giannis whose the man, people might shift to start picking his stuff up.

People forget, prior to the injury with SAS, he was viewed as by far the best two way player in the league, and single handedly punkin' the GSW. A Raptors run in the East to the Finals...look out!

I expect Giannis's stuff to at least stay the same as long as they don't blow this series with the Pistons or lose in like 4 or 5 games to the Celtics. In this case I'd expect Prizm base RC's to be around $125 raw and $300-350 for PSA 10s. Silver would be around 2k raw and 3-4k for PSA 10.

If they make the ECF and he's putting up 25-30 + 12-15 RPG, his stuff will have another slight jump. In this case I'd expect Prizm base RC's to be around $200 raw and $450-500+ for PSA 10s. Silver would be around 3k raw and 5-6k for PSA 10.

If they make the NBA Finals and he's the main reason why I expect a fairly significant jump still, and if they win the title with him as Finals MVP watch out, he'll have the Curry explosion. In this case I'd expect Prizm base RC's to be around $300-500 raw and $600-900+ for PSA 10s. Silver would be around 4-6k raw and 6-10k for PSA 10. (The last example I put making the Finals as the first number, and being the champions as 2nd number)

Not really seeing it. Kawhi is an enigma. Nobody knows anything about him. He's an elite player for sure, but what do we really know about him? His injury was even an elaborate mystery. Where's he going to play next year? Is he all about money, or is he all about winning? I just don't see him being the "face" of the league. Would he even want to be?

With the Silver Prizm craze the way it is.... I think the demand for this card will always outnumber the supply.

Just to give everyone a little perspective....

2018-19 Prizm was released right after Thanksgiving.... we are roughly 5 months since release...1,788 Silver Doncic's have been graded via BGS and PSA

To this point...approx 4.5 years since 2013-14 Prizm was released... there are ONLY 247 Silver Giannis graded via BGS and PSA.

Also.... since 2018-19 Prizm has been released... ONLY 10 Silver Prizms have been graded via BGS...3 of those being 9.5 (PSA doesn't list cards individually)

I know he has the personality of a brick wall, but he also gets very little coverage compared to his SAS days. If there’s one thing we know in the NBA, if you win, your cards go up. If your considered THE elite player, your cards go up. The very reasons you state that Kawhi is blah could be the very reason why he’s a dark horse. Nobody is talking, nor caring about Kawhi. What if that narrative changed to where they are? Any up tick in demand would be big for Kawhi cards

Not sure when but serial numbered GA will eventually be the thing, as when you survey what is out there, you find he doesn't have much in comparison to previous or future draft classes.
