Bobbleheads and the random team card sets even though the latter are usually for 13 and under, always loved getting them as a kid!
Coolest bobble I've gotten for sure was in 2014. Miguel Cabrera Back to Back AL MVP award Bobblehead (which would be cool in itself).. But they accidentally made it using the NL MVP trophies Love it

I guess my vote would be for any card based giveaway. Sometimes they can give away some cool posters too.
It was fun as a kid getting bats, plastic batting helmets, balls, etc. Those are not appealing to me now as an adult though. I am not a fan of bobbleheads. I am amazed at how popluar they seem to be though. They are odd looking to me. This year the Dodgers have included Garvey in what is his 3rd (I think, maybe 4th) SGA bobble. I see the other older ones at bargain prices now and again, but was able to pick up one of each originally when issued at what I felt was a reasonable price. This year they were flying away at presell prices, sometimes in excess of $50 before s/h. After they went live, bidding on them continues to be frenzied, although I have seen at least one go for as low as $20 (+ s/h). Most are selling for $35+. I am waiting to find one for less than $30 delivered, hopefully much less. Would prefer less than $20 delivered, but that might not happen. If I miss this one though, it won't hurt my feelings. |

I remember one give away at Dodger stadium they gave away baseballs I think it was. There was a bad call by the umpire and a lot of the fans ended up throwing the balls onto the field. They had to stop the game to protect the players and clean up the field. The Dodgers stopped giving away baseballs.

I remember getting a full sized wood bat at an Indians game as a kid when they played at old Municipal Stadium. In the early 90s. We played with it in the back yard. It's all beat up now, but I will never get rid of it. They don't give stuff like that away anymore.

A few years ago after Chipper Jones saved Freddie Freeman from traffic in the Atlanta "snowstorm" the Braves gave away a bobblehead of Freeman and Jones on an ATV.
Tomorrow the Twins are giving away a Prince themed Twins jersey. It sounds really cool but clothing giveaways other than t-shirts and sometimes hats are usually disappointing because the quality is really bad

Bobbleheads. Although this year they are giving away a fanny pack which I am excited about getting (Don't judge. They are super convenient on vacations!) and they also gave away a Whit Merrifield Oven Mitt which is neat because he wears an oven mitt type glove for stealing bases.

![]() I do not own it, but I will have to have it one day. They story was just so good, and the bobble head is a classic. The famous Chipper Jones Freddie Freeman ATV bobblehead. If anyone wants to read the back story, it's amazing: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/01/chi...-snowstorm-atv

I don't make it to many mlb games, the few I went to that had a giveaway were cool though. 2 seasons ago in Atlanta for Hank Aaron night, not only got to see Hank but they gave away bronze statues replicas of his statute in the park museum. I'm not really a Braves fan but its pretty cool, and my son is a Braves fan so loves it. Another was a trip to Baltimore and they were honoring Ripken and gave away posters-collage of pictures making a large picture of him.
I miss going to Durham Bulls games as a kid and getting some awesome giveaways-bats, card sets, hats, shirts etc. Now they only do give aways to season or min-package holders to boost those sales, no give-aways for single games. No bats or anything like that anymore. I love the bobbleheads that celebrate an event or something directly to a player, or multiple players in a set. I loathe the star wars, game of thrones, etc that have nothing to do with baseball.
