Agreed 100 Percent. Full credit to Peter for that.

I find it most unfortunate, if anything, that I own several Leaf wrestling sets from the past few years, and their owner, and CEO, is coming on here and sinking the company further than they already were in the minds of collectors. For the love of God, Brian Gray, hire a PR firm and throw your keyboard away! I will leave my real name signed below, since that seems to be a big thing for you.

Sincerely, Joshua Schwengler

In defense of BG in this thread, he simply expressed a thought on PWCC auctions ending values. He's allowed to do that and I don't see anything wrong with it. Obviously he got a bit personal but we're all human. Agreed though, probably best to use his regular Blowout ID, not the company one. And to stay away from emotional reactions to responses.

Agreed. Looking back, people here got him off track. Personally, I would've left once they did that, but he didn't derail the thread himself.

Everyone has their name public on net54, it's part of the rules.

So what you're saying is they can't hide behind a consignment company?

Yeah, Leon should vet PWCC's consignments with his affinity for calling people on his forum. Perfect job for him.

That story would never have been written without "anonymous" people (Superdan, 312, Corndog) doing the actual WORK and providing EVIDENCE. Hats off to Peter for providing comments for the story, but he was commenting on other people's real work. It's not like he broke the story.

And even that's not true.

Leon has no way of telling if the name a person gives is actually their real name. It's just an exercise he likes to have so he can hide behind it when he gets what he really wants -- flame wars, trainwrecks, and mentally unstable people spouting off hate.

Flame wars, trainwrecks, and mentally unstable people spouting off hate...Leon doesn't need his own forum for that. This one will do just fine.

This place is nothing compared to the vile that gets spouted on Net54. Antisemitism, racism, Sandy Hook "truthers," 9/11 "truthers," there is no low too low for page counts.

Agreed. I think Brian acts like this because he knows the level of addiction in the box breaking world.

The degenerates are going to buy no matter what.

But someone in his company should do the smart thing and tell him to be quiet.

His company looks worse and worse every time he posts.

This card belongs here and I also added it to the Mantle thread.

This card was purchased by Brent Huigens with his Ebay ID of prewarcardcollector in November of 2011. He then sold it under the same Ebay ID - prewarcardcollector in July of 2014.

PSA Cert #22834528

1909-11 T206 Ty Cobb RED PORTRAIT, OLD MILL

Value gain of $1,967.80

This card was purchased by Brent Huigens from Ebay seller mhgt as a SGC-2 on November 20, 2011 for $682.20. Ebay feedback left link: https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...0&mPg=5&page=3
Seller mhgt feedback left for prewarcardcollector (now PWCC) link: https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&mPg=13&page=7
Same card was sold by Brent Huigens' Ebay ID prewarcardcollector (later PWCC) as a PSA-4.5 for $2,650.00 on July 07, 2014. PWCC Marketplace link: https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/items/1016808

Feedback left for prewarcardcollector by seller mhgt (prewarcardcollector's masked Ebay ID is u***p):

prewarcardcollector's (PWCC) SGC-2 purchase information screengrab from VCP (his masked ID is e***r:

prewarcardcollector's sale of the PSA-4.5 screengrab from VCP:

Yellow circles are print or fiber identifiers.
Red squares identify areas of improvement. It is difficult to tell exactly what was done due to scanner settings, but these areas look different in before and after and the card bumped from a 2 to a 4.5. This was Brent Huigens' card.

The top left corner on the front (top right on the back) looks like it was built back up.

It's the same card …….but the PSA 4.5 doesn't look much better than the SGC 2.

This is the first time Brent’s been linked to a card that’s apparently altered while in his possession, no?

Is this the final nail in the coffin? Greed makes people sloppy.

No, the very first post in this thread has 6 or 7 other cards purchased and sold by Huigens. That was the reason that this thread was created by the OP, who did a fantastic job of spending the time finding them.
