Pulled this out of my first box when returning to the hobby, had to figure out what brand I wanted to start collecting and then what release, there was only fleer when I started collecting NBA cards, think I picked right:

Probably still my favorite overall set to collect [I have the base] such a great mix of players, autos, patches and rookies of my favorite player.

For a while I was gonna go after the entire set of the above players but #'d to 10 seemed like too hard. Guess I should have just bought the MJ and Kobe...

That's an insane pull man! The patches on that one are unreal.

I've got a cool one to share, just have to find a photo.

Ok, here's mine.. hopefully "pack pulled" from a group break counts here..

During the 14-15 season I was kind of all over the place with my collection. I was buying a good deal of product and getting sucked into the rookie class that season. Luckily I didn't go heavy on Wiggins though.. lol. I was also joining group breaks pretty heavily at the time. One in particular was an NT break where I ended up doing two team breaks of the Nuggets which were $24 each, and one random team break for $62 (just looked up an old email..). One of the Nuggets breaks yield this..

This wasn't a really huge hit at the time since Harris wasn't getting much playing time and when he did he wasn't putting up great numbers or anything. I was still happy though as it was one of the best RPA varitations you could hit. When I hit it I remember the breaker asking me if I PC'd the Nuggets, which I actually did, but I had massively strayed over the last year or two. I told him yes, then shortly after I got the card I remember deciding to start living up to that and I shifted my focus to my Nuggets PC again. I would go on to obtain a pretty substantial Harris collection his rookie year as his stuff was super cheap at the time. The next season I went heavy into Jokic rookie cards as they were similarly cheap at the time. Both turned out to be great players and i'm happy I made the shift back to my Nuggets. What's funny is I honestly may not have done it if I hadn't hit that Harris and never been asked the question.. crazy how things work out sometimes.
.
.
.
.
But that's the not the end of the story.. That random team NT break I bought yielded the Lakers and I ended up hitting a Julis Randle RPA. A few weeks later I traded it straight up for this..

I pulled a 12-13 Totally Certified Black LeBron James Jersey Patch Card 1/1 and a Kevin Durant HRX Video Auto Card /10 in back to back boxes!! Too bad the video card never worked and dont know if they ever would have got them to work but Panini did give me a Giannis RC auto with it and a Kobe on card auto with it as well for the video not working!! KD did autograph the card though so that was kind of cool!! Both have been sold to help pay for my wedding!! Wish I had pics of them to share!!

For best pack pulled card (Assuming we're not counting group breaks otherwise have a logoman, nt gold/emerald rpa's and flawless 1/1 rpa's) I'd guess would've been this one.

Overall not basketball specific pack pulled would be this I think.

I've posted this one before, but It's still my biggest basketball pull. 2 pre-ordered boxes yielded this bad boy:

Karl Anthony Towns Black #1/1 Select Auto

Lol. This was 2015 and Randle was the latest hyped Laker rookie. I almost didn’t do it as Randle RPA’s we’re going for a bit more than the Lebron (in BGS 9 at least) at the time, which was around a $600 card then.

Used to be a low-end 1996-97 Autographics card, until I pulled this in late 2017, a 1997-98 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row 2 of Penny.

My 2 favorite pulls came from the same purchase.
Loose packs of 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game at a card shop a couple years later. I took all that they had at $2.50 a pack (less than a box worth)
Kareem auto
Mikan auto.

Neither are numbered, but Mikan was a SP.

a vending machine? That's pure insanity.

Mine has gotta be from the local card shop when I was a kid, maybe 11 years old. The shop was literally a block from my house, and the first time any kid wanted to spend $5 or more the owner literally called your parents to make sure it was ok. This was 1995 haha.

Anyways, I bought I believe it was my 3rd pack of Emotion ever- they were $5 a pack back then which was crazy expensive. Pretty sure I bought maybe a pack every other week or so because that's all I could afford but I didn't care, the cards looked so good. Out of this pack, miraculously, was the single best card in the product- Michael Jordan Ntense insert. That gold foil, the #45 jersey, the card just works on so many levels.
Kept it framed for nearly 2 decades after that Don't have the same copy anymore, but still have one!

Man. I remember saving every penny just to afford a single pack. The Grant Hill, Jordan and Shaq base cards were the major hits in my neighborhood. I remember the BV on those cards being big time back then. I don’t think I we even considered a card as cool as the Jordan insert.

I believe it. I pulled the base MJ out of a pack at one point also. Still have that one in my set. Trust me it wasn't like I was gonna buy hundreds of packs til I found it I was a broke kid too haha, just occasionally it's better to be lucky than good! Over the years I've been fortunate to pull several really good-looking MJs. Nothing 4-figures worth or anything, but as a kid in addition to that MJ I pulled the 1995-96 topps mystery finest refractor (still have that copy of it) and a Metal Slick Silver.

When I got back into collecting out of the first 5 boxes I bought I pulled the following MJs: Hoops Top Ten insert, 97-98 Chrome Season's Best refractor, 1996 SPx gold parallel, 1997-98 Bowman's Best base refractor. Keep in mind NONE of those boxes ran me more than $55 (this was 7ish years ago now), but it got me back into the hobby with a bang!

For basketball have pulled higher dollar cards but really Love the sneak peak lebron Nike logo I pulled.

Tried to post either of them but for some reason the picture won’t post.

I haven't opened a hobby box in over a decade, however back in the day I remember getting a box of 07 Topps. Was a freshman in high school getting ready for picture day, getting my schedule, etc. and was contemplating opening before I had to leave or waiting. Of course being the impatient 14 year old I was I ripped through the box while my mom was screaming at me to come downstairs since we were already late. This may not be the right serial number, but this was the exact card I pulled. Remember dancing around my room and hiding it in my closet since I had to leave.

That’s insane! I’m not a huge fan of multi-player autographed cards but that is a perfect blend. What product is that from?

Right? Literally the perfect trio on one card. Wish I had it still but sold it a longgggg time ago. Also I believe this was the box I pulled it from. 07-08.

87-88 Jordan...kept it in a recessed screwdown for many years. I knew if I graded cards, that would be the first. It’s a BGS 7.5 but I trimmed it and resubmitted it so it’s a 9.5 now. It went in a LCS group sub and sat at the shop waiting for me to pick it up. The employee said the only low score was the one thing I couldn’t control. This story is true except the trimming part.
