Hey guys new to the comic section. I am a huge sports card collector and have just recently purchased a large comic book collection from a friend’s new wife who got it in a divorce from her previous marriage. I don’t know squat about comics and want to sell them all. There is quite a few key books and about 40 or so that are signed. I think I would want to grade a lot of them but some have 5 or 6 signatures on them so it looks to me that beckett’s Services will verify the signatures at 33 for the first and 20 after that. So am I right that in order for them to verify it it’s 133$ for a comic with 6 signatures plus the actual grading of the book? These were all signed at conventions but I don’t see any paperwork to accompany them.

![]() Here is a picture of the one mentioned above. I greatly appreciate any help as I navigate the comic book world. I was a huge X Men fan as a kid and it was truly giving me goosebumps looking through the boxes. I never bought a comic in my life but I’m pretty sure I’ll keep a few of these. I’m going to sell mostly all of them just not exactly sure the best way to go about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also are there any group grading submissions done through blowout or any trustworthy blowout members?
I’m sorry in advance I will have a lot of questions.

CGC will not authenticate the signatures as the have to witness it. Your best best it to us the CBCS Verified Signature program, which does accumulate with each signature. I also think you need to tell them who signed the book.

I know 6 of the sigs on that one from doing research. But I can’t figure out the one above Rachel Dodson. I think Chris Claremont but not sure anyone think the same??

I can see why you would think it’s Chris Claremont, but it’s Alex Ross! He is the cover artist and an amazing artist (and arguably a more valuable signature than Claremont). Having said that, I would NOT recommend to authenticate and grade the signed book. Just sell it as is. It’s not worth the slabbing fees.

I would say anywhere from $20-$50. These were limited to 4000 copies. I think Alex Ross sold them signed on his site for $40.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/UNCANNY-X-M...YAAOSwAidc8mtV I think this one was $70 or best offer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Uncanny-X-M...p2047675.l2557 This one is unsigned at $16.50 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Uncanny-X-M...cAAOSwGk5dP2im |
