Default 2019-20 Upper Deck Series 1

I'm a long time Basketball/Football collector but just recently got into Hockey. Pre-ordered my first case of Hockey with S1. What can I expect? I know Autos/Relics are tough to get by but do you expect Young Guns RCs from both Jack Hughes and Kakko?
Paid 75/box seemed like a good deal with Panini/Topps products being so high now and last year's S1 at 100/box

I could see Kakko held for S2. I would think you’ll get at least one of each YG in a case. You need to hit a big parallel to make any money, if that’s what you’re after. I’ve contemplated a case myself. Good luck with yours

S1 will probably have Hughes YG and Kakko YG Canvas, S2 will have the opposite, if UD stays in the same patterns of past years.

I'll definitely post the results on here when the time comes thank you! I guess I feel it's going to be a good draft class! Haven't even bought any product to bust since 2015-16

Series 1 was $100 per box? Trash draft class and all? I'm not sure I saw it over $80 locally.

Yeah last few on eBay have sold between 95-105. Figured with this class it'll be more than 75/box by end of year

Hughes alone should carry it higher than last year.

That's what I was thinking also...

What are some other good products to get. I've always been a fan of SP Authentic

The only draw back with Huges is he a Devil and New Jersey players don't really sell that well. I do hope he sells well though

Disagree my friend. Calling 5 out is somewhat pedestrian, CO.
#s 1 and 2 are bonafide. # 4 should land next year- Byram is the real deal and the #2 overall North American in the draft behind Hughes..
Expect at least couple of the remaining #3-18 to hit this year or next, although most are a at least a couple of years away. #10 Podzkolin would for sure have a shot this year except for his KHL commitment for the next 2. Central Scouting had him #2 European behind Kakko and very arguably #3 overall. By 2021 he will be a stud. Canucks stole another one.
This was a very solid draft class IMO.

I'm surprised there isn't a way NHL clubs can just buy out a KHL contract. Russia's GDP is equal to that of an average small European nation. You'd think they would welcome the influx of cash.

Everyone is talking about Jack Hughes and Kaako, but I think Cale Makar might be the best YG in series 1 and the ROY. Quinn Hughes, Poehling, Valeno and possibly Byram are also likely in series 1.

Watch training camp for injuries. Malkin was in Series 2 partially because he suffered an injury and did not make his NHL debut until October 18. Players must play in one game or for goalies must be on the bench to make an appearance on a rookie card.

Hey now. Makar went to UMass. Let's try and not bring attention to how awesome he will be.

Makar is awesome.
# 4 overall in 2017. Behind #3 Heiskanen and before #5 Pettersson.
#3, 4 and 5 seem to be far superior to #1 Hischier and #2 Patrick.
Will be fun to revisit this draft in 3 more years.
