Not necessarily. I have had many items sit for months, even ran a 30% off sale and they sit, then someone out of the blue nails the BIN

I never worry about leaving money on the table, I would rather worry about how to take the money I have in hand and flip it into more money.. Some buyers would just prefer to not deal with negotiations if they make an offer there is a chance the item will sell before the offer is accepted or declined and they lose out.

Sone sellers are reporting they received emails this morning requiring them to enroll in managed payments. The final transition had begun.

Exactly! When I sell something quick and wonder if I should go $10 higher I think nope, made that money fast, quick, and in a hurry.

Woke up early to get to a garage sale before work. Glad I went. Found Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Party 4, Super Mario Party 5 and Super Mario Sunshine all for the Gamecube for $2 a piece.

Also picked up 2 Crash Bandicoot games and Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the Playstation.

Anyone have any luck with Target's 20 year anniversary celebration? Not a lot of money to be made on resale, but they were quick flips and easy ships on most items.

Apparently, Walmart is doing a car seat recycling program until September 30. They give you a $30 gift card for any car seat that you bring in. There's a limit of 2 per household. I don't usually look at the baby stuff at thrift stores and yard sales but I may have to if I go anywhere this month.

There is a link in the story linked below to find participating stores.

Thanks for the heads up DBacks!

Do thrift stores take used car seats? I thought they don’t because of their shelf life and unknown history.

I don’t believe they do.

Nice find!

Which store you find it in? Salina is my honey hole during holiday trips back to visit the inlaws. Always come away with good stuff there (vintage clothing mostly).

At the DAV...I got there at 4:40, they close at 5, they shut the lights off at 4:45 and we're really impatient with me as I was going through books...if I didn't make a nice find, I would have caused a stink, but I didn't want them to tell me to leave w/o buying the books

I have some great pickups lately and some even greater sales. Still trying to figure the picture thing out here because I'd like to share. Do I need an Imgur or Flikr account to post pictures?

Anyway, I had a pretty sizable pickup yesterday from Craigslist. After getting home and going through the three giant boxes, here's a basic rundown.

Unopened:
91 Fleer baseball wax box
90 Donruss baseballwax box
91 Donruss baseballwax box x 2
89 Topps Traded baseballset
90 PGA tour Pro Set x 2
90 Fleer baseball box set
90 7-11 Univ. of Hawaii football set x 3
90 Topps baseball box set
87 Fleer Game Winners set
90 Donruss The Rookies set
88 Fleer baseball box set
90 Donruss baseball box set

Also:
-Topps baseball complete or near complete set run from 1978 - 1990. These cards are in amazing condition. Untouched. Like they were from a vending set / case.
-Misc. Mid-90's basketball partial sets
-Complete or near complete football sets 84-mid 90's
- Bunch of random comic / Marvel cards various years
- Bunch of random basketball cards from mid-90's
- Roughly 20-30 vintage cards 56-mid 60's - Mostly HOFers

In all, there are dozens and dozens of card boxes. I know what you're thinking....oh, yay, a bunch of overproduced junk wax, right.

I paid $20

I believe the word you were looking for was "inevitable" not "enviable". Nobody will be envious when President Carter dies....

Wow, was that really needed?

I was trying to be supportive in his carter finds, do you really need to belittle every error you see? For what? To correct, to embarrass other members or really just to make yourself feel superior to everyone here.

I was raised with the whole "if you don't have something nice to say....."
Guess you ignored that lesson growing up.

Ebay really f'd up this time. Just watched the Ralli Roots video and apparently eBay felt the need with promoted listings to get rid of the original listing and only keep the promoted listing. Just ended all my promotions. Such a shame, I was enjoying getting rid of older items but no way I'm going to support this crap.

I saw that this morning too, doing the same when I'm back to the computer this afternoon. I'm not too surprised by the move though, anything for the extra money, ebay's is all about the bottom line these days...

Lol.....take it easy. Humor is your friend. I thought it was funny that you used the word "envious" to describe a person dying.

Obviously, this was lost on you.

And also, if you were raised by the whole "if you don't have anything nice to say" then you should have left out the "Guess you ignored that lesson growing up" as that is somewhat of a back-handed insult, no?

I don't care about any of this. Laugh once in awhile, it'll be okay.
