Default Bill Burr talking about football card collecting - Podcast 9-23-19

Just thought I'd share Bill Burr's football card recollection as told on his Monday Morning Podcast 9-23-2019.

Warning

*NSFW ---- 4 letter words*

That's all.
Enjoy.

He is right, collecting cards has lost its innocence . I hate watching Box breaks when they just shuffle through the commons and pick out the hits, seems kind of gross and just exemplifies the money hungriness in the hobby. But to each their own. If that is what they want then so be it.

Before the internet if you wanted to know a players historical stats you would read the back of his latest card. Now you just go to baseball reference.com

In the end , all you can do is enjoy what you like to do. If you like opening packs, tossing out the commons and keeping the hits then that’s your perogative .

In my opinion collecting is fun when you focus on the part you enjoy. But buying a green wave parallel rookie relic auto of an unknown prospect and stressing out if you will double your money on a flip is not enjoyable.

I'll take baseball-reference over the back of a baseball card any day of the week.
