Call your shot: the next card to make a jump in the industry

I don’t mean a /5 or something.

What’s the next card to really make a rise and why? Something that is at a decent price point now that will get out of range in 1, 2, 5 years from now?

My best example is the Acuna heritage rookie. Room for growth as a fellow blowout member and friend said to me.

Next big jump in my opinion 2018 Topps Series II Gleyber Torres Variation Sp. I know it's already kinda high but it is steadily climbing.

Are you referring to #580 here? And the main version and not the "action" variation? If so, what are your reasons? Just a lot cheaper and doesn't get the hype compared to his other cards?

I think it will be one of the award winners.

I had a good feeling about Yelich and picked up several of his rookie cards before they blew up in the spring. I should have really bought a bunch more, but I hesitated.

However, I am waiting to see who wins and whose cards have room to grow.

Obviously anything stamped with Acuna's name has room to keep moving.

Outside of that I dont think the next big thing has arrived yet.

The guys with real sleepers will probably never post here. I have a couple that are unbelievably underpriced. Makes no sense to share the true value picks as it will only increase competition.

But the obvious choice that isn't a secret is Vlad Jr. His comes with the stipulation that he must do some daily Richard Simmons workouts though. He needs to lose the ba-donka-donk. If he trims down 85-90 lbs and has a hot spring training the hobby better watch out!
