Default Thanos Imperative #3 Original Art - Value Opinions

Some time ago, I acquired pages 17 and 18 from Thanos Imperative. The artist is Miguel Sepulveda. It is a 2 page splash that ended up being the cover art for the 2nd print variant.

Here is a pic of the OA:

While it is a great piece, it is just wasting away in a portfolio and I would like to get an idea of value when I sell. I do not deal with OA from a sales perspective, so I want to make sure I do not over/under value this piece.

What say you Junkies? Also, if you are interested, just PM me.

Thanks!

If I had to speculate and guess, having a background in OA, I'd say the piece is probably estimated in the $3,000 range, amplified by the fact that it was used as a cover which adds desired prestige.

The only downside is the artist isn't (yet, as sometimes it takes up to 2 decades for an artist to find their audience) considered a hot name, but the rendering is beautiful and it has multiple characters.

With OA, the best way to sell quality pieces, because they're one of a kind, is to do it via Auction. You can do it on eBay which OA sellers tend to call FleaBay because of the lack of OA buyers on the platform, riddled by tier kickers and deadbeat bidders. I'd say this piece would do well on the ComicLink auction as they do amazing consignments for modern masterpieces. You'll be surprised by the bidding wars they inspire.

If anyone feels my estimate is too low or too high, I'd say to the owner, throw it up on eBay for a 30 day fixed price or Best Offer starting at his pie-in-the-sky (but not insane) price and see what offers he fields (and you don't need to accept them either, but will get a rough valuation and gauge of interest) rather than risk selling it on the cheap, especially to an opportunistic reseller looking for the quick profit flip.
