Default COMC cash-out problem

So I requested a modest Paypal cash-out from COMC of about $100. This was early on Tuesday November 12th, before 9am. That makes it 8 full business days gone and onto the ninth now. But I have received no payment from COMC.

Information on COMC says Paypal cash-outs "typically process WITHIN 4 business days", so I e-mailed them on the fifth. Received fairly unhelpful replies at first, now for the last couple of days COMC are simply ignoring further requests to resolve the problem.

Meanwhile, it's anyone's guess where my COMC credit has gone.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I just can't think of a single good reason why this should take so long. A few bad reasons, maybe.

Should I just write this money off? Anyone with similar COMC experience have any advice?

Keep on them - make a phone call if possible. Contact COMC James on here and see if it shakes anything out of the tree. Completely unacceptable that they make anyone wait for more than a day or two for a PP cash out.

Thanks for the advice. It's my feeling too that anything more than a couple of days just isn't really acceptable for a Paypal cash-out.

I usually use any COMC credit I build up to submit more cards to sell, buy for my PC, or occasionally get Blowout credit. At this stage I feel like it was a huge mistake to request the cash-out.

We'll see what happens.

PP cash outs take much longer than it should....but giving you back your own money is not their priority. You would think a tech guy would be able to figure out a way to automate it....they never seem to have a problem taking our fees right away on the 1st of the month.

I don't handle cash-outs, but I looked into this with the tools I have, and something doesn't seem right. It generally should only take 4 business days for a cash-out request to be processed.

Please send an email to staff@comc.com so that our Customer Service Team can properly document the request and look into the issue.

Ummm, not quite true. I think there have been a couple of months where monthly storage fees were not taken out until a couple of days/weeks later. At least one, probably more than 1.

But yes, it shouldn't take nearly as long as it has for your cash-out. I've regularly gotten them in 4 days over the last year.

It sounds like he has already emailed customer service and they were unhelpful and then he was ignored. What part of that is an acceptable business practice?

I have never figured out why it should take more than a few hours. Its not like they have to do a lot just push a button.

Thanks to everyone for their views and advice. I still haven't received the payment or any clarification from COMC.

I have already sent five e-mails to COMC about this over the last several days. I received replies to the first two, polite enough but only telling me things I already knew. The last three e-mails (from Wednesday on) have been completely ignored so far.

Still down $100 just for requesting a cash-out.

I sent you a DM. It looks like we reached out to you on Tuesday to confirm your paypal address. I've asked the team to shoot you another email request in case that one didn't reach you inbox.

Thank you for your assistance James. Customer service have now been in contact and given me exactly the information I needed to know. The e-mail address was never the problem, but it seems another minor Paypal issue was the root of all this. Already resolved and will now have to request another cash-out which won't process until after the weekend.

Paypal seem to be the main culprit here, but COMC could have clarified the problem much sooner and I could have resolved things with Paypal a week or more ago. Would've saved everyone a lot of time writing e-mails and forum posts too.

Nevertheless, thanks again to you, customer service, and everyone who posted here with advice and opinions.

With the history of them not answering e-mails, I have no idea why people just don't call them.
Anytime I had any issues, I picked up the phone and got it resolved.

So, was PayPal the problem or was did you not provide correct info to PayPal, or did you not update your info in PayPal?
