I guess this is true for the most part. He's #1 in the NBA in VORP and BPM, 2nd in PER and 4th in win shares. The minutes might play into a close race for MVP or public perception of how well he's done this year however. Casual observers do look at per game stats not per-36 or rate stats.

It was actually smart to pull Luka this game because they have a game tomorrow. Mavs halve not done well in back to backs lately so perhaps the extra rest will bode well for the game tomorrow.
