Oh I hear ya. I'm just saying it feels like to me the Angels panicked after missing out on Cole, a pitcher they highly coveted that fulfilled a pressing need. But to add Rendon is not a bad thing. He's still relatively in his prime and inserting him into that lineup may make other free agent talent and trade prospects a more enticing location.

I agree ... should help Trout's though

More plate appearances, plus the the number 3 spot in the order comes up the most with nobody on and 2 outs.

It definitely will hurt Soto. He’s going to get the Harper treatment now and just pitch around him nonstop.

What does this do to Rendon card prices? Also you can't trade Simba, when said and done he might end up being the best defensive player or ss ever.

Thats a monster lineup, trade Simba for a pitcher
You leave Simba alone.

I like this contract, great pick up for the Halos.

I believe they will still work hard to get at least one of the top SP left and maybe get two when it's all said and done. Moreno now is finally willing to spend $ try and win.

Aren't they going to gain a SP by having Ohtani on the mound? Of course innings would be limited but still. Could Ohtani be a closer?

He won't pitch more than 100 innings this year. If that many.

I didn’t think Rendon wanted to play 7 more years...

I think his prices will remain pretty similar. However, if he somehow puts up better numbers than Trout, people may take notice. Even then, I don’t think he would get a big spike. Although he isn’t a top guy in the hobby, his prices when up 3-4x since preseason. I made out incredibly well on some of his higher end stuff. A few big tickets items I got 6-7x what I paid at the beginning of the year. He has already seen a nice uptick.

Based on his 5% commission, he made 44 million dollars on that

I love Rendon, but I don’t even think he is better than Bregman, better yet Trout.
