If you have to explain why a card is 1 of 1 then it must not be a 1 of 1!
Always looking for A. Davis, M. Jordon, K. Towns, Kawhi and High End Card of HOF's.

What are some solid Giannis RC autos or RPAs to own? With Luka’s career-ending injury tonight, I’m going to see what I can still get for his cards and push my funds into Giannis instead

Pulled these the other day. I'm not too familiar with his low numbered stuff. You guys have any idea an approx value of these? Yes, they are up for sale or trade...
One is 1/10, and the other 9/10.

Might anyone have some advice for me on a tough decision. I’m tempted to buy a Select purple rc #178, /99 for a decent price ~600-650. Or, should I just wait and save up for a more expensive silver prizm RC?

I pc Giannis so both are great, but not sure about long term potential of Select /99 vs $ilver Prizm.

I don’t own either card. Just looking for any hobby input. Thanks in advance.

The price differential on those cards is huge. What are you looking to accomplish? If you want an iconic card, I would save up for the Silver. But if it takes months, you may be looking at significantly more than what it would cost you today. If you just want a nice card that is pretty rare and far more affordable, get the Select.

Are you talk about the Prizm Silver or Select Silver (some call Prizm)?

If it's THE Prizm Silver #290... If you can afford one... I'd buy one as soon as you can. If the Select Silver.... You still have time but once the Prizm gets more expensive... more will be looking for the Select Silver and the price will increase.

Basically... if you can afford any nice Giannis today... don't hesitate...it will only cost you more down the line.

It want to accomplish it all of course!
Kidding aside, The price difference is impressive and you’re right that It might take some time for the right silver to come along. I’m looking to get a relatively rare RC that has good eye appeal and is a good ‘investment’. I’d probably hold long term. The Select is a BGS 9 with strong subgrades.

I support this.

Prizm is always the first to go up. Select always (usually) staggers and ticks up. I personally find the select card picture more appealing, but it’s not Prizm so today is the cheapest it will be unless we have an economic meltdown and the world burns.

I would pass on the purple and buy a Select Silver PSA 10. Should run you around $1000, and looks much nicer than the purple. Print run should be 300-400. 3-4 base silver per box, and 1 purple /99 per box.

Was never a fan of colors unless it matches their jersey, gold or black

Unless he hurts his pinky and is out for a week. Prices will get cut in half.

Thanks for all the input! I find this very interesting, that the Select Prizm (aka silver) is often more sought after than a rarer serial numbered version of the same card. I haven’t seen either card in person but I can see how the silver could pop. Thanks for letting me know. A PSA 10 Select Prizm silver is a nice option. Re: investment, I guess it comes down to supply & demand for a given card.

And yes, I am oddly considering two different animals: Prizm Silver vs Select Prizm (purple /99).

Silver Prizm caught fire a few years ago. They were limited in 2012-13 and 2013-14. Started to increase more as the years went by with last year being about 5000 Silvers produced. 2013-14 it's estimated that only 350-400 exist.

3 on eBay.... 2 PSA 10 and 1 BGS 9.5 ( 1 other in a graded lot as well) 2 of the ones on eBay don't have Silver in the title.
