not a lot - under $100 total, but enough to be annoying

I can't even imagine how many cards they go through in a week or a month, it's exhausting just to think about.

But yah, they will process in the order they are needed to be done by and rarely miss a deadline. Some people send in 10, some people 5,000 at a time. It's those huge orders that must be a killer.

Doesn't COMC usually have an end of the year sale similar to the Black Friday one? Haven't seen anything so it probably isn't happening

Oh, I guess last year was just special. That was fun, wish they did it again.

I just priced a bunch of cards and noticed some sold right away. Is there a way people set up alerts for new cards added? Wondering how they see these new listings so fast. I guess someone could keep hitting refresh on recently added...but that seems to time consuming....?

Also, under "purchased by" I see ebay. Is the card selling on ebay or someone with that username or? Cards sold within a few hours and don't see them in ebays completed auctions so trying to figure that out.

I think people just hit refresh on recently added. From my understanding, there is no way to use software to gain an advantage on COMC.

As for completed listings, I believe most COMC items don't show up. That is the way it is supposed to be but some fall through.

You can set up bookmarks to save your searches and get through them pretty quick.

Yes, the card sold on ebay. That doesn't mean it will always show up in completed listings. It could be a multiple card listing that is still active (not sure exactly how those affects viewing sold items).

Yeah, it's silly that COMC may wait 2 months before uploading submissions. Especially with the challenges that do half the work for them. It would benefit both the company and users to have cards upload as soon as possible, especially for time-sensitive new releases. Sometime you can see nice quantities on ebay before you see a single one on COMC.

Thanks guys.

I have to admit, their setup is a lot better than I thought it would be. I almost didn't use them due to all the negative chatter.

Glad I did.

I uploaded a couple hundred cards and sold 10% of them within a day.

Most the pricing I used was a little under recent eBay comps. A few went a little cheaper in order to get some funds there to send in more cards.

It's making selling my cards FUN.

Now I have to sort thru around 1M cards to find more to ship in

Is 2018-19 Prizm BKB still considered current year? Is the cut off time when the same product is released? (2019-20 Prizm now out).

2018-19 is still current year on most other brands still as they have not been released yet.

It’s legit. As I’ve learned with most things, ignore the noise. It’s made my life so much easier and I sell cards I would’ve never been able to sell on eBay.

Anything with 2018 or 2018-19 has to be postmarked by 12/31. After that it is no longer current year. Only 2019 & 2019-20 products.

Just don't buy any graded cards on there and don't request shipping a couple days before you want the cards. Other than that, you'll be okay as long as your cards don't get damaged or lost.

not at weak as the last Xmas bonus given out to COMC employees - it was Xmas 2011 (a few months before I started) and Tim gave all the employees a $5 Starbucks gift card...and, this was when there were still less than 40 people on the payroll...

(please note - this may have changed since I left, but with the current management in place, I doubt it...)

The bulk editor is showing an error when downloading inventory. Is it just me? Thanks

Nope, I got the same thing several times.

Also - I sent items for auction last week and half of them were returned to my item manager as "not for sale". Anyone know why?

By my understanding from James. When you ask to put cards up for auction. They will load them in to the auction format and at that time it will show "not for sale" It appears they have not gotten all of your cards into the auction format. Once it is in the format you can not buy or sell it. So those will set there until the 29th unable to be sold.

Again I may have misunderstand James

They still haven't worked out how it will work. It will be a mess for a month or so. This is how they run their business. No planning and awful communication.

This is pretty accurate; they come up with these half-baked ideas, introduce them with a big splashy announcement, then spend several months of trying to figure out how to make it work, before they realize they can't do it the way they promised then eventually let it die a slow and quiet death...

Maybe this has been addressed before...but wondering why they don't take better pics of cards. A cellphone is way better than their scans. Their pics make the cards look dull with no life. Colorful cards look terrible.

Sales would go up at least 10-15% I bet.
